Beware of engine noise
Sally Shelton | July 8, 2019 | Royal Caribbean International | Rhapsody of the Seas
Overall we had a fantastic holiday aboard the Rhapsody of the Seas with Royal Caribbean. However I am writing this review to warn future cruisers about the difficulty we encountered.
We have cruised several times with P & O and always chose a cabin situated mid ship with a window which has always suited us, the cabin being on deck 3 or 4. Unfortunately, with Royal Caribbean we experienced horrendously loud engine noise from approximately 11pm to 4am on our first night resulting in loss of sleep. To give RC credit they did respond to our complaint the following day and found an alternate cabin at the front of the ship where we had no further troubles. The Customer Services manager investigated and told us that during the period we were disturbed (slight understatement) the ship was at full speed to get to the next port. As this would happen two further times he was keen to move us. The resultant loss of sleep and move did mean we lost one day of our holiday and I write this to ensure no one else experiences this problem.
