Title: Tribute to a fine cruise ship Summary: Our cruise was a back to back, seven days from Southampton calling at Bordeaux, St Peter Port, and Honfleur, and returning to Southamton. We had a day in Southampton. Rejoined the ship, and set sail for a fifteen day cruise around the Mediterranean. During the cruise we called at the following ports, Praia da Rocha,Saville, Puerto Banus,Vallencia,Mahon,Gibralter, and La Caruna. The whole cruise was a great success, despite the extremely stormy weather that hit when we...

Title: Back to Back 25th August – 17th September 2017 Summary: Having only cruised with P&O Cruises (28 times) we found this cruise one of the most relaxing. There wasn’t any rush to claim a sun bed, the Lido restaurant was not in anyway a “Smash and Grab” exercise and the food was in our opinion excellent, far above the standards of the rest of the P&O fleet and finally the crew were very helpful in all departments. Also many passengers whom we spoke to enjoyed...

Title: 23 days on Adonia Summary: Our first time on this ship and first impressions were very favourable. We had heard her described as being like a country house hotel and that was very apt. The library in particular was very impressive with a large selection of new books in a very spacious comfortable setting, no playing second fiddle to computers here! The crew were all friendly and helpful and you soon got to know them as well as fellow passengers....

Title: Our time on board the Adonia Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise on the Adonia. As it’s a small ship, everything seemed to be two decks up or two decks down! We always managed to get a seat in The Conservatory, The Curzon and no problem getting a sunbed. There were no queues to get off and on the ship, everything was laid back, it made a pleasant change from being on a ship with thousands of people. The plays were an...

Title: Adults only cruise on Adonia Summary: As Adonia is the same size as the small Princess ships I knew what to expect. Being a British ship there was no casino and in the Andersons lounge there was always an easy chair to sit on. This too in the Crows Nest, which was also beauifully furnished. The staff everywhere were pleasant and the guests friendly too. The food was good and I could not grumble at all. The daily entertainment programme could...

Title: A Lovely Small Ship Summary: This is a ship for those who like cruising and not in a block of flats. Only 710 passengers and it was intimate and friendly. No theatre but a concert lounge where they provide very good entertainment. Indeed on one of the seas days they put on a play – Relatively Speaking. The waiters – bar and restaurant – were efficient but some could have relaxed and smiled a bit more (but that is a...

Title: British Isles Tour Summary: Back home safe from a 14 night cruise on Adonia which included calls in Northern Ireland, Scotland – including the Orkney Isles, England, Republic of Ireland and Guernsey. Never mind Wales… your North Coast and Anglesey were mentioned as being visible when leaving Liverpool. Adonia is a lovely small ship with decent sized cabins – and balcony – and some superb onboard locations. The dining room is a delight and provides a great eating experience....

Title: Adonia Cruise Summary: We liked P&O Cruises Adonia, excellent food, friendly obliging crew, good sized bedroom and patio area. We did spend two days at sea and felt we could have called in Jersey and/or the Scily Isles. The least days at sea the better in our humble oplnlon. Monets garden was fantastic incidentally.

Title: Icelandic Cruise July 2017 Summary: The Adonia was in the poorest condition of any ship we have been on. There were many faults and breakdowns . The food was truly awful and some items ran out , as did many of the wines before the end of the cruise. It had been hastily repainted as the many splashes of paint proved. The balcony screen fixings were broken and had been w wedged with wood. The balcony door was broken but to...

Title: Ship ill prepared Summary: Having just returned from the first cruise on Adonia since she came back to P&O, all I can say is that the cruise was a bit of a shambles. The ship wasn’t ready and properly stocked for the cruise. There was no house wine at all, and by the fourth day of the cruise, bar staff were going from bar to bar trying to find the wine you had requested. In the end we were...

Adonia is a lovely small friendly ship we had excellent service the staff and the entertainment was first class. We had a smooth interesting sail to the amazon and learned lots of interesting facts we took a river cruise excursion and i spotted a pink...

Title: Enjoyed the cruise despite P&O’s best efforts Summary: The Adonia is a beautiful little ship but as she is due to be commissioned under the Fathom label P&O are winding her down. We had a really good time but no thanks to P&O. The pros were: 1. As always most of the staff did everything they could to make it an enjoyable cruise. 2. The change to plated service fro silver service has had no effect apart from the meals are warmer. The...

Title: Great destinations but ran out of wine Summary: Lovely holiday, but marred by the fact that the restaurant ran out of our favourite wine after 3 days, we later found it in the bars though, after then running out of two more that we liked we complained, but there was no satisfactory explanation, like they are running down stock before going to re fit, which I think is the problem. We had to buy bottles from the Anderson bar, none of the bars...

Title: Mrs Summary: This cruise included a trip up the Amazon as well as the Caribbean, so involved more sailing days than the usual Caribbean cruises. Not a problem for us. It was very interesting. The ship is smaller and friendlier than other P and O ships. Food and service were absolutely excellent. Entertainment was the best I have seen on a cruise ship as we had plays as well as musical theatre, a very welcome addition. Only...

Title: Entertainment Summary: I thought that entertainment on a small ship might not be as good as bigger ships. The Adonai theatre Co, band and ent staff were as good, no better than any other in 20 years cruising!! Rob

Title: D602 Summary: One of the last cruises on Adonia before she goes off to fathom.org, this was a very good cruise around some of the smaller islands of the Caribbean, e.g. Mayreau, Bequia and Guadeloupe, which the larger ships don’t visit. The staff were their usual friendly selves, the ship was lovely (us UK cruisers will miss her – P & O do get another small ship!), the food was excellent and the weather was mainly hot...

Title: Adonia 2016 Summary: A really enjoyable cruise. Nine islands visited which was a real joy. We loved the ship, just about 700 passengers. The public rooms were beautifully kept although the cabins were a little dated and in need of upgrade. The lighting was poor. The only negative issue was the water quality which was a concern and although reported twice, I received no feedback, which I found disappointing.. The standard of catering on boards was outstanding. Sadly...

Title: A small ship with a big impact Summary: We had a fabulous holiday, the itinerary was largely new with only a touch of the Caribbean islands and more of Central America. Some real treats and big surprises en route. The ship will be a big loss to P & O , it’s a long time since we were on such a small ship. – the days of Cunard Countess and P&O Victoria – but you see what the big ships don’t give you....
