Title: p and o cruises Summary: the Adonia was a lovely little ship but in need of some tlc. Its a shame its going out of service as the size was ideal. The destinations were fine and the efficiency of loading and unloading was good. The standard of food was fine but choices not as good as previous cruises with Fred OLsen and Cunard but overall we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Title: caribean, amazon experience Summary: Great cruise which we had planned for some time & were successful in going on this cruise. Great itinery but Belem not a great port to visit. The amazon is incredible but unfortunately the water level is down 9″ due to El Nino. the creeks where we should have travelled on motorised canoes were non existent, we were able to walk into the rain forest which was a great experience although there was little wild...

Title: A dissapointment Summary: This cruise ruined P&O,s reputation as a quality cruise line. The ship was tired and very shabby. Our bathroom was a disgrace. The public areas were faded and threadbare. Our cabin was dingy with threadbare and faded and torn curtains. No net curtains. Not even a flower in the bud vase on this trip. They ran out of popular wines. The captain was noticeable by her absence However the cabin staff bar staff and waiters...

Title: A rough sail to the sun Summary: We sailed on the Adonia from Southampton through force 8 gales and rough seas as far as Bermuda before travelling on to Port Canaveral, Key West and on into the Caribbean. We loved this small ship, the smallest we’ve sailed in. Everyone was so friendly, staff, crew and passengers alike. We actually met people often enough to make friends and compare tours. On the larger ships we rarely met the same people twice. Food was...

Title: changes of ports of call Summary: We booked this repositioning cruise on board Adonia because it was going to places we hadn’t been before, like Charleston & Jacksonville. They did let us know about 4/6 weeks before departure that these ports were no longer viable and we would spend 2 nights in Port Canavral and 1 day in Miami, both ports of call we would not have considered as we have been there many times. It wasn’t until we were on...

Title: Adonia music cruise 7/10/15 Summary: Just returned from the music cruise done in association with classic FM. This was a absolutely brilliant cruise from start to finish. The ships crew were so good and friendly for the whole cruise. All of the performers who were part of the festivals at sea were 1st class in every performance. The service and food on the ship was excellent at all times. A special thanks must be given to all of the performers involved...

Title: Why go abroad! Summary: I think I could say that this was one of the best cruises we have ever had – and we’ve been on a few! The itinerary was excellent and we were lucky with the weather. The ship was absolutely great, although for mainly the older cruiser The staff were extremely helpful, charming and most of all happy. The food and entertainment were both very good. It is very sad that this wonderful ship is not...

Title: Goodbye old friend Summary: We have been cruising on our favourite ship for 14 years (from her maiden voyage as Renaissance 8 in 2001, throughseveral cruises as Minerva 2 and many as Adonia). Our most recent was a lovely two week voyage to Iceland last month and we are really sad to see that she is due to be transferred to Florida to carry out one week round trip “fathom” voyages to the Dominican Republic and/or Cuba. These appear...

Title: Last trip on Adonia Summary: Booked this cruise as the Scilly Isles and Tresco were Number 1 on my ‘bucket list’; I wasn’t disappointed. Travelled from the North West of England by coach for the first time; the 6 a.m. start followed by an eight hour journey were quite tedious but very comfortable and much less stressful than driving oneself down to Southampton, especially as there were several motorway hold-ups both going and coming back. Check-in at the Mayflower terminal...

Title: Wish We Could Do It Again! Summary: We returned last Sunday from a cruise to Honfleur, Guernsey, Scilly Islands and Cork. We were very impressed with the standards on the Adonia: the staff, without exception, were efficient, courteous and nothing was too much trouble; the food was delicious; the entertainment very entertaining! We wish that we could do it all again but with better weather this time! It is a pity that the Adonia is to be taken out of service for...

Title: Iberian Cruise, Adonia, June/July 2015 Summary: This was a 16 night cruise on Adonia which visited at least four ports no other P & O ship could – Seville, San Sebastian, Biarritaz and Bordeaux. This shows what we will be missing when P & O move Adonia to the Caribbean for their new ‘fathom’ experiment. To get right up to the city centre in Seville and Bordeaux was marvellous and the port of Pasaia (for San Sebastian) was incredibly narrow resulting...

Title: Adonia Summary: We had a wonderful cruise. Love the ship everyone was so friendly. One of the best cruises we have done. We will be sorry to see Adonia go to Miami. As p&o will have no small ships we might have to try Fred Olsen!

Title: Nice cruise, shame about the company Summary: A fantastic cruise to a number of ports we’d not visited before including Seville and Bordeaux after magnificent cruises along two great rivers. As usual the on board staff were excellent, courteous and friendly. The food was great, although the dropping of silver service has points for and against. Our problem was the change of itinerary, replacing Tangiers with Guernsey, with only a half hearted apology. A failure to reserve a trip we had booked...

Title: Was the Captain lost? Summary: On the first day out we were told by the captain to tie things down in our cabins as we were in for a rough night. We didn’t see the captain at gala evening ( probably sea-sick ). The first port of call was Stavanger. We arrived early morning and the weather was good , went on an excellent trip by train and coach. Had a good day.The weather then deteriorated. The following day we...

Title: Adonia-a fruitless journey Summary: A good little ship retiring to the Caribean. The ship is tired and the cabins now fail to meet expected standards for an expensive 7 day cruise. The weather in Norway was appalling and the ports chosen were innaccessible in poor weather. The only fjord we saw was after a 7hr coach journey. Bergen and Stavanger are well worth while-but Haugesund had very little to offer.

Title: Cruise Itinaryl Summary: Loved our two day, overnight, stay in Seville. So nice to be moored in the City centre. The sail up-river to Bordeau also great. With the great company at our table a very enjoyable experience.

Title: Exceeded expectations Summary: First time cruisers and chose ship carefully. Ship was beautiful – yes its not new, all singing , all dancing but it suited us. Majority of staff were excellent – of course there were the odd ones who were clearly not so happy with their roles. This was mainly in the conservatory. Food was excellent but we stopped going to breakfast in the Pacific restaurant as were rather bossily treated and told where to sit...
