Title: Will miss Adonia Summary: Now in our eighties ,we hate airports and all the indignities of metal implant investigations. so a cruise on a small ship port to port is the answer. We thought that we had found our perfect solution in the Adonia and have had several lovely cruises on her, but now we hear that P&O intend to base the ship in the Caribbean. No one can answer our questions as to why the decision was made....

Title: Great little ship Summary: A splendid 2 weeks spent on Adonia. Ship though is looking a bit tired, I believe a makeover is due soon I just hope this is sympathetically done and features are retained. Staff were very friendly and helpful, photographers only doing their job but could be a bit too much during meal time! Frozen veg! What was that all about? Never had so many frozen peas as on this cruise. Shame we were unable to...

Title: Good but not Very Good Summary: The travel arrangements were smooth and well organised. To be collected from the airport runway and delivery direct to the check in at the ship was spot on. Saying goodbye to our luggage at Gatwick was great, but seeing it again outside our cabin was also a relief. The ship was generally OK, but if you look a little closer then you can see that it is somewhat tired and in need of some TLC....

Title: Review cruise on adonia Summary: Very disappointed in condition of adonia. The ship has lots of rust visible on the outside of the ship – it really could do with a repair now! Balcony’S are still waiting for new flooring to be put down. staff on board were excellent. Would not recommend adonia to anyone.

Title: Lovely little Adonia Summary: We picked this cruise for the itinerary thinking the compromise would be the ship, how wrong we were. My husband and I are fairly new to cruising this is our 8th and before this trip would have said we loved the big ships particularly Royal Caribbean so we were expecting to not find the ship to our tastes. However we loved the decor and ambience of this grand old lady true it’s very middle England...

Title: Friendly ship Summary: We have cruised before with oo on the big ships, this time we thought we would try ADonia and we were not unhappy with our choice, this ship was like a village on water everyone so pleasant and friendly, we will definitely go on her again, we have booked another 2 short breaks again on the bigger ships but always choose P o For our cruises .

Title: P&O decline continues Summary: Since our first cruise with P&O in 2007 there have been many adverse changes re their service levels and attitude to customers. No newspapers on the flights. No complementary drinks on the flight (Thomas Cook) Cabin Stewards workload increasing (number of cabins to look after gone from 15 thru 19 to a proposed 23), less time to look after passengers who are referred to on board customer services yet we are still charged the same...

Title: Not as anticipated Summary: We have cruised with P&O for 10 years now with 3-4 cruises every 2 years and we have always been very happy and have previously rated them as excellent in most areas. We have sailed on all their ships in the fleet and will be on Britannia later this year so I would say we are very loyal and know what we expect and get from them. Having just returned from the Caribbean on-board Adonia...

Title: First cruise on the Adonia Summary: After years of cruising with P & O, including the Artimis, we decided to try their smallest ship , having heard many favourable comments. The Adonia fully lived up to our expectations, with generally well appointed cabins (we had a balcony cabin on C deck) and excellent public areas all on Deck 5, so that they were convenient to cabins at all levels. We spent 28 days on the Adonia, firstly cruising round the countries...

Title: Lovely friendly ship Summary: A very enjoyable cruise recently in the Adonia, friendly people and staff. Excellent service all round. Paul the Entertainment Manager was excellent and so were the five members from the theatre company…first class all round. Unfortunately for 2 days at sea we were in strong headwinds with Force 8…very rocky for a little ship…not good in 4m swells, but hey ho that’s sailing for you! Will definitely book again on this lovely little ship 🙂

Title: Wonderful itinerary on Adonia Summary: We have just returned from 4 weeks on the Adonia, sold as 1 cruise but actually 2 back to back cruises. We had a great time. Adonia is a friendly ship and the right size for us. The ship is looking tired and ready for a refit but the service, food and everything else was brilliant. The itinerary was excellent. The first fortnight we visited the smaller Caribbean islands and the second we went to...

Title: Brilliant sunshine in the Caribbean Summary: We had a great time on our Caribbean Cruise visiting 9 different Islands. The sun shone for 15 days and the temperature was 27-29degrees every day. As a small ship we were able to visit some of the smaller islands which were superb, especially Guadeloupe, St. Maarten, Martinque, Bequia, and Mayreau. They all had their different identity and beauty. The Golden sands were beautiful with the deep blue seas. Sometimes too hot to walk on...

Title: ADONIA Feb. 2015, Caribbean. Summary: The islands visited lived up to our expectations due to the small size of the ship we visited some small islands which the larger ships cannot. We were disappointed with the Adonia the ship was a lot older than we thought it would be and showed it. In several places on the stairwell the carpet was worn and the general decor was very dated. Entertainment was excellent both inhouse and visiting entertainers. But dancing [ballroom]...

Title: above & below expectations ! Summary: Joining ship in Barbados should be excellent with P&O’s system of passengers on their charter flights not having to collect luggage and go through local customs and immigration, passing straight from tarmac to ship’s check-in….Except if more than one flight arrives early and at the same time ! 4 hours from landing to cabin (2 of which stuck in buses) is not a good start. Cabins we found to be a little small on the...

Title: Holiday to Caribbean Summary: Adonia is a friendly small ship but unfortuneately we feel that P& O are struggling to maintain the fabric of the ship. The balconies in general are very poorly maintained and unwelcoming.

Title: Amazon Trip Summary: Two weeks sailing from the Caribbean to the Amazon very friendly ship but not the best holiday. Food on board was adequate but not special, the afternoon tea was disgusting, large dry sandwiches is not my idea of afternoon tea. Two days to get to the Amazon but only time to do one trip! then back on board for another two days at sea. I would not recommend this trip.

Title: Small is beautiful Summary: We have been on Adonia twice in the past three years and before that our preferred P&O ship was Artemis – both child free and small in size. Adonia is a beautifully appointed ship with lots of elegant wood panelling and public areas that have the feel of a country house. The advantages of a small ship are that it is easy to get to know where everything is, and if you meet some new...
