Title: January Escape Summary: What a super little ship….and what a wonderful calm transatlantic crossing. We needed a rest after the madness of working in retail, leisure and hospitality over the Christmas period and that is just what we had. Entertainment could have been better, but the food the staff and our cabin (B109 ) were just what we had hoped for. The weather in Lisbon was a bit of a shock for us all but it then started...

Title: Overall view Summary: A very nice small ship giving traditional cruising. However my overall view would be that it is ideal for the shorter cruises from Southampton or the Med if you fly out. I personally would not do a transatlantic on her again as you seem to be restricted with restricted facilities during the day.

Title: Christmas and New Year cruise Summary: From booking with Bolsover Cruise Company to the end of the cruise was excellent. The entertainment team worked hard all through the festive season, putting on afternoon shows as well as the evening shows. Line dancing in the gym was tricky some mornings because of the rocking of the ship, but Tracey was an excellent teacher. I believe she is now going onto the new Britannia cruise ship. Getting off the ship in Southampton was...

Title: Christmas-New Year Cruise 2014-2015 Summary: Overall the cruise was enjoyable and we met some nice people in the bars and around the ship, even exchanging addresses with a couple for the first time since we started cruising many years ago. Adonia theatre company excellent with music and plays . Disappointed that guest artists– violinist, comedy and baritone only had one spot each whilst Ken Joy was on several times. Tracy, the Entertainments Officer worked hard and mixed well with everyone....

Title: not for us Summary: We have been enjoying P&O cruises for many years and expect to be booking with them again through our trusted agent Bolsover and our agent Yvonne and her great team a fact But this ship for us to small with not many things to do whilst at sea, the ships company super as always Captain friendly and always had time to chat , I even when on the bridge with him We are not young...

Title: CHRISTMAS ON ADONIA Summary: This cruise equalled all expectations, this small ship has an excellent crew who are very helpful and pleasant. Captain David Box mixed well with the passengers and keeped us all well informed. The food was very good and much improved from our last visit to this ship two years ago. The cabins are looking tired and mattresses are lumpy, it is ready for refurbishment, which we were informed will take place in May. For the...

Title: adonia cruise Summary: We enjoyed the cruise, service was very good, but we had some heavy seas and we felt the Adonia did not handle very well, our cabin was near the front, and we felt as though we were in a slow moving tumble dryer, my wife and I both prefer slightly larger ships but I can appreciate why others like Adonia the decor, and the ease of getting around, just not for us in the future

Title: Fantastic Cruise Summary: It was a lovely cruise. The boat was easy to get round and everyone was very friendly. The entertainment was excellent The Adonia Players and the 4tunes being my particular favourites. It was disappointing not to get to MonteCarlo because of the weather but unfortunately the weather is the only thing we can’t control. Looking forward to our next cruise.

Title: “A little gem” Summary: This was the first time we had cruised on this beautiful little ship. We noticed as soon as we boarded how happy all the staff were and got the feeling this was indeed a happy ship. Our cabin was roomy and well presented, spotlessly clean and we had a cabin steward who was very helpful. We enjoyed the shows and play , but would have liked a few more daytime activities , other than quiz’s....

Title: Adonia; small but beautiful Summary: This ship is in stunning condition. All the staff care beautifully for her and she is well serviced and looked after. There is not a speck of dust on her and the fittings are all maintained and in tip top condition. The ship is more suited to the over 60,s and the programme of events/entertainment is for passengers who like card games, dancing, deck games etc. Not much for us in our 50,s. We were...

Title: Little Adonia Summary: Just back from 17 days on Adonia, cruiseD418 the med and a call into Tangiers. We saw her 3 years ago and have wanted to go on her ever since, and we went dissapointed, those who describe her as an Old English country house hotel at sea are correct. No queues at check in infant from arrival to getting on board took all of 20 mins, try that on one of the large super cruise...

Title: Adonia and the Canaries Summary: The ship was too small for us personally. this limited the activities offered on board. It is trying to keep up with the larger ships without the space to provide this. Food not as good as our last cruise. Entertainment company great. Staff v good and cabin staff v good. Cabin with balcony rather small and bathroom minute! Overall good but will go back to Oriana or Aurora for next trip.

Title: Adonia Summary: This was the 1st time on the Adonia and we splashed out as it was my special birthday so we had a suite at the frount of the ship the suite itself was very spacious and comfortable. However the large balcony was a disgrace. So much that I complained and within a day it was repainted and varnished. Our neighbours also complained and theirs was also painted. Having a suite where we had one is...

Title: Lovely little Adonia Summary: We have just returned from a wonderful cruise aboard the lovely little Adonia. Many folk think of the Adonia as an old person’s ship, and that may be so, but the people on our cruise were full of spirit and fun. This was helped by the brilliant entertainment team, led by the charming and charismatic entertainment manager Dominic Holmes. It was hard to believe that he managed to encourage at least 100 “oldies” on to...

Title: Adonia 19th September Summary: All crew were very helpful but not all reception staff have been trained in the same way. Difficult to get the correct t information when we docked. My husband uses a wheelchair on shore and reception said we couldn’t take it on a courtesy bus at Honfleur but were told by a wheelchair user that the driver had accommodated his chair in the luggage department. The ship was not wheelchair friendly as it was very...

Title: Wonderful holiday Summary: We have just returned from a week’s holiday on the Adonia. The weather was superb hence calm seas. This was our first time on this ship and we loved it. No queuing hardly to get on to the ship and virtually straight into our cabin. Everything seemed so relaxed. The food in the main restaurant was excellent. We normally avoid the conservatory on the large ships as we dislike how busy they are. On the...

Title: Superb Adonia Summary: This was our first cruise on Adonia – we’ve been on all the other P&O ships apart from Ventura. We loved her! Boarding was so peaceful, hardly anyone in the Terminal, straight to a check in desk, through security and onto the ship and up to the Conservatory for lunch. I don’t like buffets but the Conservatory on Adonia was the best I have experienced. We had a balcony cabin and while not huge there...
