Nice holiday – shame about the ship
By Nick Taylor on 15 March 2016
Royal Caribbean International | Adventure of the Seas Reviews

Never again First, a bit of context. We have cruised 16 times in 5 years and have seen the great and the not so great on the high seas. We like Celebrity and Oceanea; we donƒ??t like FO or Princess and although we have mixed feelings about P&O we are, on the whole, are very fond of their ships. We do not have a predilection for moaning, as life is too short, so read this...

Great Holiday

What a great cruise line. This was our first cruise with Royal Caribbean International, having cruised with another well known company before. I thought I would find the ship too big, as it had over 3000 passengeers. But I did not. We were able to check in online a few days before. Which was great, no waiting in a queue at the cruise terminal. We were in our cabin by 1pm. Our luggage did not...

Boats leaving Southampton have tea making facilities. This was not mentioned before. There were three separate evenings when English comedians were the sole performers. Not good for other nationalities. No films were provided for in room TV. Food was good. The trips were expensive. A day trip charged at ?œ100 each gives them ?œ5,000 for a 50 sweater coach. The WiFi was around ?œ50 a day, most went to a town’s information centre and sent...

Best holiday ever

We loved the glitz and glamour of this ship. The international crew were fantastic and worked very hard. Nothing was too much trouble. The entertainment and facilities were top notch. The food was excellent. The only thing that we missed compared to other cruise companies was there were only two alternative restaurant types. Other than that we would definitely cruise on this ship again.

A Fab Cruise

Royal Caribbean International | Adventure of the Seas Reviews

I travelled with my 2 daughters aged 11 & 14 & my parents, with my mum in a wheelchair. We joined in everything, ate tons, saw all the ports of call, every show, took part in most quizzes, sat in the sun & had an amazing time. I totally recommend a cruise to the Italian Med such as we did….

Mediterranean Cruise

Royal Caribbean International | Adventure of the Seas Reviews

This was our fourth family cruise and the third with Royal Caribbean. Overall the holiday was a great success and we came back resolved to book another at some point in the future. The ship had recently been refurbished and we were impressed with the facilities on board, particularly the addition of a large outdoor cinema screen on the top deck. Positives of the cruise: ƒ?› excellent service from everyone on board. ƒ?› quality of...

Wonderful 1st Cruise shame about the WiFi
By Paul Cox on 10 August 2014
Royal Caribbean International | Adventure of the Seas Reviews

It would have been 5 stars all the way but I include Wi-Fi as part of the service. Many Four & Five Star Hotels of yesteryear charged for computer network connections, they saw sense and now itƒ??s mostly free. A charge of $30 an hour or $250 for the cruise for a slow connection, is just ridiculous. $25 for the Cruise would just about be acceptable and most would pay. Most people I spoke to,...

Cabin 7639
By Diana Bray on 10 August 2014
Royal Caribbean International | Adventure of the Seas Reviews

Unfortunately my daughter and her husband really struggled with the size of the cabin. My daughter has a problem with ‘closeness’ and this cabin caused her anxiety problems. Their cabin was no bigger than the one my husband and I shared, yet the cost was almost double. There was insufficient storage for clothes or suitcases. Getting out of bed in the night to use the bathroom was another challenge given there were two sets of...

Good points :- Crew and stateroom staff very friendly, and do a excellent job. Waiters and restaurant staff very good Chefs and cooks, have been some of the best I have come across, the meat was always cooked to perfection. Cleanliness appeared to be very good. Ice show was brilliant as usual on RCI. Captains information good for the unknowledgeable and also .quite humorous. Could do better :- The staterooms are looking a little tired...

Royal Caribbean International | Adventure of the Seas Reviews

This comment is about The Adventure of the Seas on which we had our latest cruise. The ship itself is looking tired and our balcony was very claustrophobic with too much steel, which they can’t do anything about, but having previously cruised on the Independence, does seem if that RCI are fobbing the Brits off by using an inferior ship. However, we had a lovely fun table and the dinner in the main dining room...

Worst cruise we have been on in 20 years! No toiletries in cabin, no chocs on pillow, no cookies in room, just 2 tea bags & 2 cheap coffees per day. Deck chairs on deck 4 were filthy, had to clean before we could sit, dinner was luke warm, on three occasions the fish dish was ‘off” another fish was substituted, 1.5 hr wait to get off ship in Villefranche, old black & white film...

disappointed with this cruise. Ship definitely jaded and badly in need of a great deal of TLC. Most of public areas are OK, loungers need replacing- uncomfortable and a number have broken strapping. Our cabin (D1) no.6644 had faults which we had to bring to the attention of steward etc., i.e. shower door was leaking and flooding the bathroom, shower head pipe leaked and had to be replaced Fortunately for us our toilet system did...

GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT

Royal Caribbean International | Adventure of the Seas Reviews

This cruise was a celebration for my 75th Birthday on the 4th May. As I have recently lost my husband it was decided that my Daughter and Grandchildren would take me on this cruise. I have cruised with my husband so many times that I have lost count, the last one being on the Brilliance of the Seas, we thought this on the Adventure would be similar. How wrong we were! It was supposed to...

After a disastrous start- (the ship limped into San Juan with the help of tugs, after breaking down on the previous cruise) we spent 3 days in San Juan whilst they tried to fix the propellor. We missed Barbados and St Maarten. Initially the communication from RCI was shambolic, but in fairness to them, they offered everyone the chance to cancel their cruise with a refund, and those that chose to stay on board were...

We sailed to the med on this ship on the 13th of October, 2013 and on the whole it was a great cruise, the staff were brilliant, and the service was good, the food was also very good, and the ship really clean, they are really keen on cleanliness and hand sanitisers are all over the place, with staff making sure you use them when going into the dining rooms. I only have one complaint…there...

we have just returned from a 16 night cruise around the Med. Firstly having cruised a few times including on Celebrity, Cunard and other cruise ships we had high expectations for the Royal Caribbean. Sadly this was not what we found. We couldn’t fault the staff, the cleanliness, the organisation especially ‘My Time Dining’ which ran like clock work and the food we had. However the drinks package offered including free days if purchased on...

Royal Caribbean International | Adventure of the Seas Reviews

My husband and I and daughter and grand-daughter (9)sailed out of Southampton on 21st July for 14 days for my husband’s 60th birthday. We have sailed with RC on three other occasions and were very pleased. This time disappointed. Our balcony on this particular ship was almost enclosed and very small (we had a junior suite each). Cabin itself all right but bed very hard so for 14 days I slept on a spare duvet,...

This was our first cruise so didn’t really know what to expect, and wow it was amazing, from start to finish we received excellent service. We pre paid for the drinks package before we travelled and that was well worth the money and was so hassle free not having to sign for everything. Our cabin was just like described (inside) , however now we have cruised i don’t think i would book another inside , when...
