P&O Cruises Ship Review Arcadia Reviews

Arcadia is a mid-sized cruise ship exclusively for adults. Combining the chic with the classic, Arcadia offers a wonderful blend of features. With one main restaurant, a grill restaurant from Marco Pierre White and the luxury of Sindhu, in addition to an expansive spa with thermal suite and hydro-therapy pool, a three-tiered theater and a boutique cinema, she offers more than a hint of extravagance.

Title: A great return to Arcadia Summary: As a mini cruise it was a good introduction for those who have never cruised before. Food and service was very good. Entertainment was excellent…the best we have had. The shore excursions were well organised and the guides were informative and interesting which enhanced the experience. Our only complaint was that the trip to Rouen began and finished later than originally advertised which could have caused a problem with dining and packing. The “silent” disembarkation...

Title: Great Mini Trip Summary: P & O surpassed themselves yet again. Check in went really smoothly as usual. Service was superb, Food was excellent. The Arcadia is a lovely ship and although P & O understandably couldn’t do much about on the weather in Amsterdam in November, they did make sure there was plenty of entertainment on board,

Title: Checking in Summary: We feel that the waiting time to check in was a disaster as the time span was far too long. This was a problem for us as we were looking forward to having a meal on board and this didn’t happen we had to wait until 6 pm to eat. As a result I had to spend 2.5 hours in the medical centre and we were subjected to a hefty cost of ?œ479 . 00....

Title: Caribbean Summary: Overall good. Signs that Carnival accountants are starting to run the show. Drinks up by approx. 18% compared to similar cruise same time last year. Seem to be less staff and service suffers but not the bottom line YET. People will vote with their feet over a period of time. Scheduling of entertainment not good. Acts having to keep moving venues. E,G – 6 o’clock act in Crows Nest unattended. It takes about 10 minutes...

Title: Falling Standards Summary: We have spent 10% of the last 10 years on P and O ships and in the main have enjoyed them very much and would hope to continue doing so. The management ,however ,seem determined to drive standards down to put off passengers like my wife by expecting us to pay more for less and replace with people looking for a cheap deal ,satisfied with eating in the canteen and drinking their own booze ....

Title: First Cruise Summary: This 5 night cruise to Amsterdam, Zeebrugge and Le Havre was a ‘trial’ as my husband was reluctant to cruise. I’m very pleased to say, the ‘trial’ went really well. We both thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We have nothing but praise for al, the staff we met, whether stewards, waiters, housekeepers, officers etc. They were all so friendly and pleasant. The ‘mass catered’ food was much better than I had expected. It was well cooked,...

Title: Cruise Review Summary: 10 year-old ship a bit tired. Excellent food, but overall the cruise was not up to the standard of Celebrity. Excursions were good, one of the main reasons for cruising, but overall value not what was expected. Drinks on board rather expensive. Reception staff not very efficient in sorting a bank card problem. Evening entertainment was largely satisfactory, albeit limited to just 45 minutes per show. Cabin balcony just adequate, with noisy outside metal partition....

Title: feedback The Good the bad and the Ugly Summary: A good itinary for us as we enjoy seadays, and there were plenty.Like Arcadia especially the Theatre in which the softer bench/sofa seats are very comfortable. A good young, well motivated entertainments team (who were not patronising to older passengers as some on other cruiseshave come across). I had not seen the Queen Tribute Show(the Group NOT the Monarch !) performed in the main theatre before and it is one of the best ever productions. One or...

Title: Arcadia 2015 Summary: An excellent cruise with good friends. Enjoyed everything about it. The cabin was lovely and well looked after. The restaurant service was excellent. Only one disappointment when I ordered a bottle of Champagne by telephone and was offered the “House” Champagne but on arrival at the restaurant was told it was not served there. Should the order have been taken in the first place when they ofered the variety?
