Some disappointments
By Jacqueline Hathaway on 03 May 2018
Azamara Club Cruises | Azamara Journey Reviews

This was a back to back (3rd & 4th Azamara Cruise). Despite the excellent high standard in some areas, we were disappointed with many aspects of this cruise. Firstly all ports were container ports requiring shuttles (1 tender port) and most at least 1.5 hours from the actual towns/cities making a very long journey to get anywhere. No singers and dancers but an opera group and very poor guest entertainers except for Kym Purling a...

Fantastic Service

Azamara Club Cruises | Azamara Journey Reviews

Returned last week from the Sydney to Singapore cruise, which was the first leg of the World Journey. Great itinerary including Brisbane, Barrier Reef and Darwin, en route to Singapore via Bali. The officers and crew were fantastic as usual, always going the extra mile to help with anything they could to enhance our cruising experience. I had a food intolerance and the restaurant staff, plus our butler, could not do enough to help me....

Almost excellent

Azamara Club Cruises | Azamara Journey Reviews

We have just returned from our first cruise on the Azamara Journey. The staff are so friendly and efficient. The food is top-quality fine dining. The service in the restaurant, bars, and the stateroom is excellent. Everywhere is immaculately clean. Apart from one or two areas needing a coat of fresh paint, my real negative is the lack of discipline regarding dress in the restaurant. I know that some people prefer smart casual instead of...

Athens to Dubai through the Suez Canal
By Gillian Lacey on 23 November 2017
Azamara Club Cruises | Azamara Journey Reviews

Our 4th cruise with Azamara and in terms of itinerary one of the most interesting. Ports included Safaga (for Luxor, where we did an overnight tour) and Aqaba from where we could visit Petra and the Wadi Rum desert. Oman was a real surprise – it manages to combine traditional with modern really well. Fascinating. The Azamara Journey was well maintained, spotlessly clean. The overall entertainment was excellent for a small ship and the crew...

This was the best cruise I have done, 17 nights from Athens to Dubai via the Suez Canal (have done 12 to date). Azamara have done a good job with the refit, and kept very clean throughout. There was a good mixture of nationalities, the largest number were American, very closely followed by British, Canadians, Australians, Kiwis, French, Russian and a few others. There were 69 solo passengers. To me these ships are an ideal...

This was our first cruise with Azamara, usually we go with Celebrity. The staff were excellent and couldn’t have been more helpful. We liked the smaller feel of the ship which meant less ques at the restaurants and getting on and off the ship. The azamazing eventing was very enjoyable and beautifully organised and executed. The almost all inclusive aspect of the cruise was excellent. The passengers were slightly younger than many on the celebrity...

Myself and partner have recently returned form a cruise on board Azamara Journey. We had a great time and found the staff were very good and could not do enough to help. We really enjoyed the small ship feel as we have previously sailed on the larger ships with Royal Caribbean and P&O. We never queued for anything it was brilliant especially the tenders as on other ships we have been on because they have...

The flight to Rome was effortless as I have mobility problems all my needs were met by BA.When we arrived in the Rome we had to wait half an hour for the coach and two passengers” did not hear “the guides instructions and went and had lunch so...

I was very impressed with Azamaraƒ??s staff, they were always happy to help and really couldnƒ??t do enough for us. The food was amazing and the waiters would always advise which wine to have with each course. Our cabin stewards were great we had a queen bed but needed a twin we didnƒ??t see them straight away but left a note on the bed and when we returned from evening meal we had twin beds....

Azamara Club Cruises | Azamara Journey Reviews

This was our 5th cruise on Azamara and the 3rd on Journey. The staff, from the Captain down, are exceptional and very friendly. Some staff remembered us from previous cruises and came up to say hello, welcome back. The food was the usual high standard, both in the restaurant and Windows Cafe where there was a different themed buffet every night. The 2 land cruises we made, in Taormina and Mykonos, were well organised and...

Returned last Tuesday from a 9 nt cruise from Athens, calling at Chania, Crete; Paphos,Cyprus; Alanya & Kas in Turkey, then Rhodes & Mykonos, ending in Istanbul. This was our first cruise on Journey, though we have been on Quest several times. We were fortunate to be offered two upgrades, for a very reasonable sum and ended up in a Club Ocean Suite on deck 7, right at the front of the ship. The extra...

From the moment we first contacted Megan to the end of the cruise, the service that she gave 100%. After a 3 day pre cruise stay in Barcelona, we boarded the ship and welcomed on board by staff who we had met before. The majority of the ports we visited, came with a medieval history and we really enjoyed all the ports of call, especially Portovenere and Calvi. The food was of the usual exceptional...

There are no reportable negatives, the whole experience, again, was first class. The Azamazing event was the ballet in St Petersburg which was our first ballet ever. It was an unforgettable experience and all the coaches and tour guides in St Petersburg were of a very high standard. The food was very tasty and prepared and presented to a high standard and it was nice for every cake/pastry to taste different to each other……unlike on...

Our first cruise with Azamara having previously sailed with P & O. We like smaller ships and having never been to this part of the world before were attracted to this itinerary by overnight stays in some ports. Our experience started with a surprise at Heathrow. As we were checking in when an Azamara Club Cruises/Celebrity cruises representative approached us and as well as ticking us off her list wished us a wonderful holiday. BA...

We began this new venture with great trepidation not knowing what to expect, despite all the assurances from Bolsover Cruise Club and Friends. The start was horrific with a 21 hours flight delay- why did we book with BA? As soon as we eventually arrived at Singapore the holiday and Ruby anniversary celebration really began. The transfer to the hotel was faultless ; the hotel was a dream and the city was exciting, vibrant and...

We have just returned from a 14 day cruise from Mumbai to Athens. We thought after our last cruise with P&O on Azura we would never ever cruise again. We have previously only sailed witih P&O and Cunard Grilll Class. This holiday has restored our love of cruising. Wonderful ship, happy crew, excellent service and cleanliness. Each meal was a true dining experience. We avoid self service restaurants so I can not comment upon Windows...

Second time on Azamara and cruise was excellent. Things we like 1) open plan dining eat whan you want either as a couple or with other passengers; 2) complimentary wine served at every meal,3) All tips included so you don’t have the steward hovering every time you leave your cabin! 4) being a smaller ship gets into smaller harbours nearer where you are going than larger ships which often have to berth miles away, 5)...
