Title: Monaco Grand Prix Summary: I thought the ship and itinerary were superb with the Monaco Grand Prix the highlight. The entertainment was good but special mention to the ship`s company entertainers and Pete and Ursula the resident entertainers who were truly superb with Pete being able to play his guitar and sing in any style backed up ably by Ursula on rhythm guitar. Our only grouse was that our twin configured balcony room was really inadequate for two people...

Title: Middle East Magic Summary: This was a magical cruise in the Middle East. Fred Olsen came up trumps once again. Eleven cruise lines tried but only one come out top, that is Fred Olsen. This was my 28th with them. The Middle East is so different and spectacular, from all the other places in the world that I have cruised too. To add to the special experience I was upgraded 5 times from an interior cabin on deck 4...

Title: Four ships in Cadiz Summary: The captain described Boudicca as “A middle-aged lady in need of daily make-up – that’s why you will always see the crew at work with a paintbrush”. This is old style cruising in an older ship which is nevertheless maintained to a high standard with cabins and suites regularly “refreshed”. The cuisine is above average and staff in all departments are very attentive. Entertainment facilities are limited so if you want large ” glittering” West...

Title: Vague disappointment… Summary: Over many years I have enjoyed cruising with Fred Olsen, particularly home from Australia on the Black Watch in 2005. Haven’t cruised with Fred Olsen for about 4 years now, however, I was on the inaugural Boudicca cruise when she was first acquired by Fred Olsen with usual, expected, “creases to be ironed out” then – which was quite acceptable. However, this time (even after refurbishment I understand) there were several unfathomable atmospheres aboard; restaurant...

Title: Around Britain Summary: We had a wonderful cruise, with sunshine all the way and flat seas. We found a minor patch of dampness on our cabin carpet, and reported it to Customer Services. The plumber was there within minutes and it was sorted. However, we then received a letter offering us an upgrade to a junior suite. We turned this down, as the proposed cabin was near the ship’s bow, and, my wife being a poor traveller, we...

Title: Atlantic Odyssey Summary: The only real downside was the poor availability of the shore excursions, most of which were fully booked weeks before the cruise began and with a long waiting list. Fred Olsen’s response was that all shore excursions are offered on a first come first serve basis but that is not the point. There were significantly insufficient excursion places overall to meet the demand and therefore whatever order and however early guests tried to book, a...

Title: Outdated and Tired Summary: When are Fred Olsen going to replace the ships with newer and more modern ships and come into this century??? When looking around this ship both inside and on deck you can see just how old this ship is. It is having a two week refit in March but how much can be done in two weeks!!! NOTE: be warned, when the ship dispenses black smoke from its funnel the upper rear open decks suffer...

Title: Indian ocean Summary: Boudicca although small and compact, it was a very good traditional cruise, all staff were very attentive and willing to make sure we had a very good cruise. The cabin was much better than expected, plenty of wardrobe space and the bathroom facilities were much larger than the very modern ships in our opinion have become more like floating Butlins. Overall a very enjoyable cruise with a good itinerary apart from one port of call.

Title: Brilliant Boudicca Summary: I would like to share with you my experience on board Fred Olsen Boudicca, D1722 Scenic Spain 22nd September – 30th September 2017 round trip Liverpool. This was the first time we had used the port of Liverpool and was impressed with how convenient it is for us Northerners. When the car was parked with CPS at the ECHO arena, the stewards took our luggage and we didn’t see again till the cabin. This left...

Title: Indian Ocean cruise December 2017 Summary: Boudicca badly needs refurbishment, some being done while on cruise but lots of rust visible on all windows. Ship going in dock for some work inn March. Pleased to see that FO has at last provided cushions for the plastic strip sun loungers on deck and hope they have provided them for Braemar as well. It has been a long standing complaint from all users.

Title: BEAUTIFUL BOUDICCA Summary: 4 nights on the Beautiful Boudicca around Santander and Balboa, two new beautiful destinations I would highly recommend visiting! In Santander and Balboa I took a coach tour to the major attractions. Santander light house – the views here are fantastic, we stopped off at the golden sandy beach then enjoyed a drink at one of the local bars with a view of the sea and Boudicca. In Balboa we visited the Guggenheim museum –...

Title: Boudicca Short Break Summary: I recently cruised on Fred Olsen’s Boudicca, we flew out to Santander and sailed back into Liverpool. On arrival, we had a bus tour around Santander before embarking on the ship. Although Boudicca is an older ship she had a very warm welcome and the staff were some of the most attentive I have come across while cruising. We had Superior Oceanview cabin which was spacious and has plenty of space to unload our luggage,...

Title: Azores cruise Summary: My first time with Fred Olsen Cruises and I had an excellent time my cabin 8028 though a little small was clean comfortable and well serviced there were a couple of rattles and a small amount of vibration but this is expected in an older ship and did not spoil my enjoyment beds were comfortable and I slept well. On board entertainment was very good and I also enjoyed taking part in activites such as...

Title: Fred Olsen Boudicca – Norwegian Fjords Summary: I have just returned from a fantastic cruise in the Norwegian Fjords onboard the Boudicca. The service and food onboard was fantastic. I could not fault this at all and I would say the service I received was definitely the best I have had! The itinerary was great visiting Olden, Bergen and Flaam and this ship was a perfect size for us. There was always something to do onboard and the entertainment team were brilliant....

Title: Boudicca azores , portugal and maderia . Summary: What were your initial impressions of the ship/product? Having travelled with Fred Olsen before on the Balmoral I roughly new what to expect as to age of customers and d??cor, but my partner wasnƒ??t as this was his first cruise, so I was a little unsure of how he would enjoy it. On arriving at Greenock after a pleasant 5-hour journey on the road the long stay car park was a little difficult to find...

Title: Fab Time on Ms Boudicca! Summary: Overall I had a fantastic experience. I loved the Boudicca for what audience she was aimed at. I found that the entertainment was superb and enjoyable, after I thought Iƒ??d dislike it. I also felt the food was lovely, great choice in all the restaurants. The cabins were roomy and spacious, even the porthole cabins didn’t feel cramped or hidden away out of sight. The itinerary we sailed on was beautiful it incorporated ports such...

Title: ‘It’s like cruising in your slippers’ Summary: Boudicca was as I expected an older characteristic ship with plenty of classic features. Fellow passengers agreed that embarkation and disembarkation was simple due to the size and how many passengers were onboard. Nearly all of them commented on how much they’d dislike a large ‘block of flats’ style ship. When I saw the ship docked next to the Msc Preziosa, Boudicca looked tiny and quite dated! Which in some places it was tired BUT...

Title: A Transformative Experience Summary: We recently enjoyed a short cruise with Fred Olsen’s ship Boudicca. Whilst we were totally keen about the itinerary and departure point i.e. around Ireland from Liverpool we had our doubts about the company and the size of the ship. Basically, for virtually the whole of our time as Cruise lovers, we have been P&O enthusiasts who prefer to travel on bigger ships e.g. Aurora, Oriana or Oceania. However, our recent cruise on Boudicca has...
