Title: Britannia Cruise to the Canaries 2/5/15 Summary: My wife thought the ship and cruise was fabulous and I likewise with the destinations, however, I do have some reservations from a personal point of view regarding Britannia. Yes she has a wow factor, she is big, very big and I rated many of her public rooms, restaurants, bars and entertainment venues which were excellent along with the usual high standard of service we are accustumed to with P&O. The following are a few...

Title: 1st disappointment with P & O Summary: For a new ship some of the design left a lot to be desired to mention just a few whilst the shower was a big improvement stepping out onto the toilet was awful, balconies had been reduced in size so small could hardly manoeuvre chairs for two people the lifts were also a nightmare – as for accommodating 18 people as stated was a laugh. I appreciate I have a difficult diet and,as on past cruises...

Title: Disappointment Summary: We expected but were in many cases disappointed in Britannia. The inside cabin B620 on deck 14 was small compared to others we have experienced on other cruises. Sat on the toilet you had to care not to bang your elbows on the shower on one side or the sink on the other. The electric shaver point did not allow me use my shaver. I visited the shop and saw that adaptors were on sale...

Tried the Beach House with cover charge ,value for money.Wheelchair passengers have long waits for small lifts particularly with one out of order. Cinema poor design means only those seated in the front row can see all the screen, pity when excellent choice of films. Title: Beautiful Ship Summary: Just returned from a wonderful cruise on this beautiful new ship Despite the large number of passengers there was plenty of space in all the bars and restaurants even at busy times in the buffet The decor of the ship gave a feeling of real tranquility and the food and service was excellent THe cabin we had was spacious and very comfortable The drinks were reasonably priced and I have no complaints at all about...

Title: amazing time Summary: we had an amazing time in the fjords , the air is so fresh and we were lucky to have lots of blue sky’s and sunshine , just one day of rain, the ship we loved ( yes we found her a little big if you are not a fit person) a lot of walking from each bar, restaurant , ect ) but having said that it helps to use the calories up , we...

Title: MAY HOLIDAY Summary: After all of the hype this was a very disappointing ship…small cabins and balconies… only two main stairways at the front and back of ship……resulting in long wait for lifts… which were small and extremely difficult for disabled people with wheelchair’s… no Silver Service in the Main Dinning Rooms… D??cor dark and dismal with frantically patterned carpets! Fewer shops than on other ships we have been on! Entertainment too loud in the Theatre and around...

Title: B 504 Summary: A very enjoyable cruise, food and service very good. Lifts appeared to need some re-programming. Theatre needs to have THREE performances EVERY night…………..on a number of occasions we were unable to get a seat. Quality of the cabin and restaurants excellent.

Title: Britannia Summary: Very satisfied with the overall cruise however would like to point out the following: Why does the mid ships lifts and stairs only go to deck 7 Main ? Why has the ship not got special lifts for disabled and wheelchairs/motorised trolleys ? No individual reading lights in the cabin either side of the bed The size of the Live Lounge is too small for the number of passengers on the ship Why no drinks...

Title: Too much Hype Summary: What a disappointment after all the hype and publicity on Britannia. We have only been on P & O ships but this one did not come up to The others we have been on. The cabins were very small compared with e.g. Ventura which was the same layout to Britannia. A plus in the bathroom was the glass door to the shower but to open this one needed to be a contortionist. The need to...

Title: Maiden voyage on Brittania Summary: We were very very Disappointed with our recent cruise on the Brittania. We were expecting a very special cruise as this was a maiden voyage. We have been on approximately 10 previous cruises all of which had been with P & O and had always been extremely satisfied with everything. However from the very start of this cruise there was one disappointment after another. We had expected the sail off to be something special but...

Title: DISAPPOINTED Summary: We booked this cruise 12months ago with friends to celebrate her birthday and had really looked forward to being on the brand new flagship of P&O. There were lots of positives – food was excellent and always hot and lots of choice, the Theatre has an LED backdrop which was great, however the seats were snug but the idea of having the end seat on front rows for disabled was great. We found that there...

Title: Our Anniversary Cruise Holiday B503 Summary: We selected this particular cruise to coincide with an anniversary and also to experience the new ship Britannia. The weather although dry was a little disappointing being cloudy and windy on many of the days, The ship was very nice but the cabins were slightly smaller than on other P&O ships we have sailed on. The balconies were particularly small. The 2 pin shaver socket in the shower room didn’t suit my standard British razor....

Title: Mr Summary: The ship staff destinations bar one were excellent. Britannia is superb and really there isn’t much to complain about with such a holiday. The only niggle was the dunes and oceans trip in Agadir, I’ve been twice before and it is a dump so a trip seemed the best option..it was if you wanted to visit a landfill site not visit a fishing village, have coffee in a shack and visit a bird sanctuary with...

Title: When it goes wrong, boy it goes wrong Summary: The cruise, Britannia’s second, to the Atlantic islands of Africa, plus a call in at the mainland was in the main very good. It, however, got off to a bad start when the boarding ramp blew out of position in strong wind. Nothing wrong on the side of P&O for that but the mayhem in the departure area had to be seen to be believed. No one could hear the announcements down stairs, so most...

Title: Britannia Summary: After much publicity and details kept under wraps creating mysteries. We did not let the usual fiasco boarding at the Ocean Terminal ( usual two hour wait sorting out crashing computers and gantry that moved out of position with the winds) we were full of anticipation of what the ship offered. On arriving at the cabin with my with my two teenage granddaughters with an outside balcony, it was obvious all dimensions had shrunk!!!. Only...

Title: Britannia Summary: We have been back from our cruise a week and have read several reviews about the Britannia and for the main part our comments are similar to others. On the plus side the ship’s decor and presentation is very good and the quality of the effects on the production shows was excellent. On the minus side the lack of staircases at midship was a real problem. Also we had problems in trying to get seats...

Title: Britannia’s second cruise Summary: It was wonderful to be on a brand new ship where almost everything worked perfectly. The staff, as ever were very helpful, the ship was spotless and itinerary was fine. What is there not to like? If you want to be really picky -the loss of a promenade deck was a shame, and there were one or two unexpected “dead-ends” especially when going to the Oriental restaurant and only two full staircases fore and aft...

Title: Britannia Maiden Voyage Summary: Although the ship has some truly innotavive features, unfortunately what was meant to be a special 60th Birthday special was spoilt by the vibration that the ship has in certain areas. I for one do not believe that this had not been picked up during sea trials and yet nothing was done and passengers were still allocated the cabins with the vibration, in our case a suite. Not the best experience.
