Cutting corners
By T D Davidson on 05 October 2018
Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Constellation Reviews

We have sailed with Celebrity line for 5 cruises and we are noticing that there are cutbacks in every area to compete in a competitive market. This ship is very tired and urgently needs a complete refurbishment. The stateroom was clean and the steward looked after it very well but he is working with items well past their sell-by date. The bathroom had a damp smell and looked as if it was something from the...

Fabulous Celebrity

Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Constellation Reviews

We have just returned from a ten-day cruise on this fabulous ship. It is a little tired in places, but overall five stars. The staff are all so friendly and work very hard. Food was excellent, we never found a meal we did not enjoy. Shows were first class and a good selection. The ports at France were well below standard and we did not appreciate having to pay to use the shuttle services. We...

No atmosphere
By Claire Wright on 07 September 2018
Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Constellation Reviews

Our first time with Celebrity and experienced an average ship with below average atmosphere with poor customer service from most of the bar staff throughout the ship and inconsistent restaurant service. Excellent food and very clean. We didn’t like the salt water pool unfortunately. Very small pool, drastically too small for the number of guests. All one depth too, 6ft 3in. Most often no smile or engagement from bar staff. No sail away parties. No...

Disappointing Entertainment.
By Les Murphy on 25 June 2018
Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Constellation Reviews

My brother and his wife are first time cruisers and although they were generally pleased with the experience, they did not have the benefit of comparative experience. We have cruised frequently with Thomson, P&O, Royal Caribbean, Princess and Celebrity and the latter has marginally emerged, overall as our preferred line. There are very many corners on a cruise ship and it is becoming clear that very few of them remain uncut. Staffing levels have reduced...

Tired Ship
By Sue Howard on 09 March 2018
Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Constellation Reviews

The ship was very tired and ready for a refit. We were on deck 9 and very disappointed to find that the floor above overhung the balconies on this floor so we did not get any sun on the balcony. Disappointed with our travel agent for not pointing this out when we mentioned how important the balcony was to us. The staff on board, on the whole, were very good just a couple of staff...

This is the worst ship I’ve been on . Safety instructions taken place while passengers still boarding. Captain non existent spoke over tannoy once . Food average same vegetables every night + not well presented. Disembarkation at ports of call disorganised only 2 tenders at one port meaning long delays to get off ship + another where only 1 gangplank took 1hr to get off. It seemed as though this was the first cruise they’d...

Had unnecessary issues with visa before holiday, food was poor on cruise and even though we sailed back 5 days beforehand Christmas no Christmas spirit on board – staff trimming ship up day we disembarked. Shops overly expensive due to on board credits and cheap sparkling wine served as prosecco or champagne. Check what you are drinking.

Cruise Around The United Arab Emirates
By Peter on 18 December 2017
Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Constellation Reviews

We had a lovely cruise around the UAE. The ports we stopped at were great with friendly people, I was a little apprehensive before we set off due to rumours about the rules over there but it was great you just need to have sense. The ship was nice and clean and the staff were friendly, the cabin was ample big and comfy and the bedroom assistance was excellent 10/10, the restaurant staff were friendly...

Worst cruise ship we have been on so far.
By Colin Smith on 18 December 2017
Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Constellation Reviews

Having only ever cruised with P&O my wife praised Princess Cruises which she had been on without me. So we decided to give Celebrity Cruises a try as it had new destinations we wanted to try. The ship itself is very dated and in quite a poor condition. Although we had a drinks package getting served at the bar was sometimes a real headache and there was very little in the way of waiter service...

WONDERFUL HOLIDAY
By Mr and Mrs Richard Poyser on 27 October 2017
Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Constellation Reviews

The itinerary was excellent apart from Sete which has nothing to offer a traveller in our opinion. The weather was wonderful. Staff on board were, in the main, totally wonderful. The ship, although old, was well maintained and our balcony room was comfortable. We were disappointed with the 18% surcharge on drinks and also the five dollar minimum bet on roulette which stopped us playing.

TRANQILITY ON THE ADRIATIC AND MET
By Nick Goodwin on 18 October 2017
Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Constellation Reviews

One of the most enjoyable cruises we have been on. We liked many aspects of the ship with high quality entertainment, good food and excellent service of the staff on Celebrity Constellation. All helped with good weather and a choice of ports of call. The only adverse comment I would make is the unnecessary high cost of the port shuttle services and most of the excursions.

Cruise Review

A disappointing cruise as I think the standards on Celebrity Cruises have deteriorated over the last few years. People going into the main dining hall for their evening meal wearing shorts and t-shirts would not have been acceptable a few years ago. The activities, entertainment and the standard of the meals were also well below the normal quality of past cruises.

Concerned
By Paul Jackson on 11 September 2017
Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Constellation Reviews

We have recently sailed on Celebrity Constellation and whilst we knew it was an older ship (but not long ago had a re-fit) we did not expect the level of ‘shoddiness’ particularly around the deck areas. However, our greatest concern is the trend to go ‘all inclusive’ with the ‘free giveaway on the Select drinks package and the upgrades to Premium packages’ no problem with the deal but to fund it they have reduced the...

Celebrity Constellation Rome to Barcelona May 2017

Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Constellation Reviews

We have sailed many times with Celebrity but I have to say this was far from the best experience we have had. The ship is showing its age and looks very tired in parts – indeed it was going straight into dry dock after our cruise and not before time! There was a distinct lack of  ‘buzz’ at times, especially in the evenings which we always regarded as a Celebrity strong point in the past....

My husband and I flew to Venice in June this year and had a wonderful cruise. The itinerary was great, sailing out of Venice was my dream sailaway – it’s certainly a wonderful way to see Venice from high up on the ship. We visited Slovenia, Zadar, Split, Dubrovnik, Kotor, Naples, Sicily, Ravenna, then back to Venice for two nights, leaving us plenty of time to explore this beautiful city on foot. Slovenia had many...

Sailed from Barcelona where check in process was very smooth and speedy. On board and in our cabins shortly after 1.30. Cabin very clean and spacious. The only problem as far as we were concerned was cabins 6000 and 6001 looked as though they were adjoining but in between was a crew only door,so to go to our daughters cabin involved a 80 yd walk each way. We ate on second sitting and found service excellent, food very...

Just back from a superb cruise on the constellation and apart from the air conditioning being a little too cold in some parts of the ship, cannot find anything bad to say about it, the food was good, ship was clean and crew was efficient and friendly. Have been on quite a few different cruise lines in the past few years and this cruise rates very highly, not as good as Seabourn, but they are...

After cruising on Reflection and Eclipse Constellation comes anywhere. near these. Although the service and food was excellent the ship looked its age. The day trips were very expensive, in fact we booked a trip on the last day to Padua to spend some time before the flight home. It cost $98 each and didn’t amount to much , for four hours of which almost half was spent on the bus. WE were dropped off...

Very disappointing
By Patricia Ann Harper on 26 May 2016
Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Constellation Reviews

We we first walked into our stateroom No.2082 it smelt of urine. We immediately asked the steward to investigate. It was coming both from the bedroom section and the shower room. We decided to go for lunch until our luggage was delivered, and left him to it. When we came back the smell in the bedroom section had disappeared, but not in the shower room. We asked him on three more occasions if he would...
