Lovely cruise with a good itinerary although not much at Astoria or Monterey, Highlight was San Francisco. The ship docked 50 yards from Alcatraz ferry so did independent tour which we booked through their website and it was excellent. Had a few days in San Diego hotel, Hotel Indigo, which I would recommend.

Antarctic Cruise

Not a cheap cruise but a chance to go into the Antarctic and the Falkland Islands. Not a great success or value for money as it didn’t deliver what it promised. It was 14 days from Buenos Aires with only 4 scheduled port stops. Two off those were cancelled – Puerto Madryn because of engine problems (I understand these had been known for some time but the schedule was only adjusted at the last minute)...

Alaska on Infinity

Cant praise this cruise high enough. Vancouver a beautiful city anyway to spend time in prior to leaving, however even with Infinity getting on in age, recent changes to deck layout and overall quality in appearance on rooms and public areas… still a good ship to travel on (was Aqua class). Was wary, as was on Reflection last year (obviously newer/larger and more facilities), however Infinity still can hold its own within the fleet. Had...

Having cruised on both Eclipse and Equinox, we were looking forward to our cruise on this Millenium class ship. There were several features that we really enjoyed. A much larger seating area in Al Bacio, which is such a popular venue on board. We enjoyed the Rendez-View Lounge for pre-dinner drinks. Again more seating and natural light than the equivalent areas on the Solstice ships. We attended the Captain’s reception in the Constellation Lounge. The...

It was a trip of a lifetime, sailing in the Magellan Straights, the Beagle Channel and also around Cape Horn. The highlight for me was seeing the Patagonian Glaciers bathed in the dawn sunrise, although we did have to set our alarm clock for 4-45 am, but it was more than worth it. The ship was in good nick, having recently been in for refit. I would like to say in general we had great...

Dress Code

Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Infinity Reviews

A great shame and somewhat annoying when one makes an effort to look smart (in particular formal evenings) passengers are still admitted to the dinning area in casuals and flip flops. Surely they must know what is requested when booking cruises? Otherwise everything else was fine and the staff are a credit to the Company.

Trip of a Lifetime on Celebrity Infinity to Antarctica
By jenny Jarvis on 23 February 2015

We have just returned from Antarctica on board Celebrity Infinity. The ship is one of the older ones but we noticed many improvements since we last sailed on her in 2013. The Officers and Crew are very friendly and helpful and the Celebrity Life Activities Team, Esperanza, Aida, Rachel and Andreas, were great! The ports of call were fantastic. We stayed three extra days in Buenos Aires and visited Recoleta Cemetery, the Tigre delta and...

Came off this ship on the 8th September. By the 10th September Husband and I were suffering from chest infection which we presume we caught from the air conditioning on the ship. Both of us have been in A & E twice and 2 hospital stays. Our illness lasted over 5 weeks and we are still not back to our normal selves. All this has resulted in our deciding never to cruise again which is...

The cruise was satisfactory, but badly let down by cabin My wife and I had reserved a Concierge Class cabin with balcony. We also found negotiating the web site once we had booked to be a nightmare Cabin shortcomings No shaver point in bathroom No proper shower screen in bathroom . Plastic curtain stuck to body when showering Nasty metal steps into bathroom and then into shower cubicle. As a safety measure there was a...

Inclusive wine cruise that never was!!

1.An enjoyable but disappointing cruise relative to the many previous cruises undertaken. As senior citizens we always pay extra to book a balcony stateroom so we have our own personal sun-spot available.(When the sun is on our side of the ship.) Disappointed to find that the majority of balcony cabins on Deck 9 of Celebrity Infinity only get sun for one hour after sunrise(we are still asleep) and for one hour before sunset(we have gone...

Not 5 Star, Not Modern, Not Luxurious

This was an 11 night immersive wine cruise departing from Harwich, U.K. This was our first Celebrity experience and one which we would not like to repeat. The pre-cruise dealing on Celebrity Cruises website was awful with many of the website menus hidden or difficult to access. We booked a Concierge class balcony room on deck 8 with the Celebrity Select dining option. On embarking we were told that the staterooms were not available for...

IMMERSIVE WINE TOUR BUT NO CHOCOLATES

Before the positives lets go through the negatives. No chocolates on the pillow in the evening, no bendy straws with drinks, a minor hiccup when the sun beds ran out and ƒ??ƒ??ƒ??. that is about it. Now for all the positives. The cruise was 11 nights and stopped at Le Havre (in port overnight), La Rochelle (in port overnight), Bilbao (in port overnight) and final Vigo with two days at sea to come home. The...

The weather was not kind, but the ship is beautiful and thee was always something to do. Service was excellent as were the friends we made.Celebrity attention to detail and customer satisfaction quaranteed. When our luggage arrived at our staterrom, due to a downpour on unloading, half of it was wet!! A call to Guest Relations and our clothes were whisked off to laundry. Within three hours it was back, washed dried and pressed. What...

We thoroughly enjoyed Aqua Class.. We enjoyed the Blu Restaurant which was exclusive to Aqua Class.it was more intimate and so the service from the waiters was more personal to us. The entertainment in the theatre was not as good on the Infinity as the Eclipse last year. The ships singers and dancers were excellent, although some of the lighting in their shows forced us to leave because of the flashing of bright lights. We found...

We have cruised with Celebrity for many years but this is the first time with “Infinity”. Having just been on two P & O cruises we would not choose to cruise on Infinity again which has let Celebrity Cruises down. The were too many aspects relating to organisation that were below par and I have written to the Chief Executive in Florida about the following. Emergency Drill – a shambles, Breakfast seating organisation very poor....

Excellent Cruise

Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Infinity Reviews

This was my wife and mine first cruise. The embarkation at Harwich was brilliant – on ship and having lunch within 30 minutes of arriving at the Port. Stateroom was available from 1pm. It was in satisfactory condition of cleanliness – there were plenty of hangers in wardrobes. During the cruise the stateroom was kept very clean – towels and linen were changed every two/three days. Food was good for all meals – only once...

Good and not so good

This was our first time on an American ship. The meals were the best we’ve ever had and the service in the dining room at night could not be faulted. P&O could take lessons on how a plated meal service should be operated. The buffet was chaos and we rarely used it( too much choice, too many stations to visit to get the meal you wanted) We were on a classic drinks package, which was...

FIRST CRUISE

This was our first cruise ever. Embarkation at Harwich was so quick – within half an hour of arriving we had booked in, gone through security and was on aboard. We were greeted with a welcoming drink and then invited to go to the Oceanview Cafe where there was a buffet lunch. BY 1.30pm we were in our stateroom and our steward Malcolm knocked at our door and introduced himself. He kept our stateroom very...
