We have just returned from what was supposed to be a holiday of a lifetime a chest virus and my friend developed flu which did take the edge of it however apart from the last 3 days which were sea days we still had a great holiday. The Solstice overall was good the ship itself was very light and bright spotlessly clean and the staff excellent friendly and really helpful. However the first few days...

Singapore Airlines excellent and the pick up at Sydney airport was efficient and much welcomed after the long journey. The hotel for the overnight stay was very good and transfers to the ship straightforward. The Solstice was a fantastic ship with the best cabin we have ever had Comfy and spacious. All In all and excellent cruise. Two criticisms…don’t bother with formal wear. Too many people dressed down. Also too much to do on line before...

New menus please!

My disappointment on this cruise was that the Celebrity dining menu does not change from ship to ship. This was our fifth Celebrity cruise this year and I almost didn’t even need to look at the menu as they hadn’t changed. Food was however, excellent, well presented and we had very good service. The cruise itself was good although there were lots of sea days. We left Honolulu for Maui then down to the Island...

Solstice: A benchmark in modern day cruising

Just a few words on Solstice, in fact just one word ‘Fantastic!’ Probably our laziest cruise ever, but we thoroughly enjoyed it from begininning to end. As some of you may probably know, we are not the worlds greatest ‘big’ ship fans, but we couldnt, and simply wouldnt want to fault her. As a ship, we never knew in the mornings before opening the curtains, whether we were in Port or still at sea, hardly...

We have just returned from a cruise on Celebrity Solstice, aound New Zealand and Australia followed by a five week stay in Perth. We flew to Auckland with Emirats and they made a very long journey enjoyable. The checking in procedure on the ship was chaotic, first we were taken to a musuem to check in and after queueing there for some time ,they couldn,t find our paperwork or keys, we were then bused to...

Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Solstice Reviews

We have been on many cruises, but this was the first with this cruise line. Celebrity Solstice is the most beautiful ship we have been on so far, and the most stable. However, it took almost 8 hours for a case to reach our stateroom from the quayside, and only after several enquiries on our part. There was no interest or apology from Guest Relations. The service from other staff was excellent throughout the cruise....

We have just returned from a cruise on the Celebrity Solstice round the top end of Australia, starting in Perth (Freemantle) and ending after 18 days in Sydney. The ship was excellent, the best we have been on, and we’ve been on a few! Everything was great, a spacious cabin, a roomy bathroom we could actually move around in and shower without hitting our elbows. The food was fantastic, the service commendable, and there was...

Just been cruising around Australia and New Zealand on board the fabulous ‘Celebrity Solstice’. Fantastic holiday and as usual Celebrity pulled out all the stops. Only fault we found was that the ‘Silk Harvest’ restaurant on board is Ok and was popular with Yanks but for me the Qsine on board the Celebrity Eclipse is far better. I understand that Celebrity are going to change all their ships over to the Qsine style. Hope to...

A very enjoyable experience in most all aspects. From the cruise line and management view this cruise was excellent, let down only in a small way by a few guests who expected preferential treatment even among other quests whilst “Q” ing, or not as the case maybe. Food was to a very high standard served well and always hot upon arriving at the table, the table steward and his assistant were excellent, nothing appeared too...

Having cruised with the Celebrity fleet 9 times over the past 8 years, this was our first time on the Solstice. Celebrity Solstice was the first arrival of the Solstice class but you would never have known it wasn’t a brand new ship. Our cruise took us to Civitavecchia (Rome), Naples, Mykonos, Piraeus (Athens) and Malta, among a few other places. We joined the ship in Barcelona and I thoroughly recommend this as an ideal...

This is the second time we have been with Celebrity and it was EVEN better than before.Faultless staff with an ever ready smile and willingness to provide anything you might request. Last time our waiter service was lacking but this time 10 out of 10. All round good.Excursions always provide value even if they seem expensive. The cruise director was the icing on the cake…..what was not to like? He does an amazing job to make...

My wife and I have taken a number of cruises with Celebrity, and last June we completed a Mediterranean fly/cruise out of Civitevecchia, Italy on the Solstice. With Celebrity nothing is too much trouble. They have representatives at the airport to assist in your departure, and in Italy they meet you, and your luggage is taken from you at the airport and whisked away to re-appear later in your stateroom. We always have a concierge...
