Embarkation at Tilbury was very smooth. Columbus is a mid-size older ship, but everything was in good shape. All the public rooms were clean and well decorated, the cabins, we had 2 cabins a standard inside and a superior single window cabin (actually a double for single occupancy) on deck 10, and both were clean and big with plenty of storage space and reasonable bathrooms. We had a really enjoyable Canary Islands cruise on Columbus. We loved the ship, the old P&O Arcadia, especially the back decks and prom deck. The food in the main dining room was absolutely excellent and don’t know how they do it for the price. Overall we were satisfied with the cruise, ports of call interesting although the location of our docking site not always the best, paying a little more, would have allowed us a better site and more attractive outlook?
