We have just returned from a fantastic 17 day cruise on Emerald Princess to celebrate our Diamond wedding anniversary. We highly recommend this ship and all her crew. The best service we have received on a cruise so far. Everyone seemed happy in their job and ready to help whenever needed. The cabin was fine, the food excellent and the cheerful helpfulness of all the Crew was much appreciated

The entertainment and staff were great and cannot fault them. However, the areas that need attention is in the casino where the staff need better training and the guest relations when something goes wrong. The choice of food is very selective, although could be more tasty. The table staff were very accomadating andif you did not like what you had ordered, then any change became possable. The beds arround the pool were stacked too closely...

not princess at its best

This wasn’t the best cruise we have done with Princess. We were on the same ship in the Carribean in January and the standards were much higher. Entertainment was poor apart from a solo violinist, one comedian and the Venetian orchestra. The stage shows were the same as in January but were not performed as well. The cruise director and his deputy were poor and didn,t seem to be bothered. The day we went to Dubrovnik was a disaster...

Baltic Sights

The cruise gave us a chance to visit a part of the world we had never seen before, and it was everything we hoped it would be. The palaces at St. Petersburg were the highlight of the cruise, plus the good weather made for an unforgettable two days. The visits to the other destinations were also memorable, especially Tallinn and Stockholm. The ship gave us an opportunity to experience the larger version of Princess ships,...

THIS TIME NOT SO GOOD!
By KENNETH ORME on 08 September 2014
Princess Cruises | Emerald Princess Reviews

In writing this review I must point out that because of the general tone of this cruise. 1) My wife and I are regular Princess Cruisers even taking our Golden Wedding on board the Crown Princess last year. 2) This was our second visit to the Baltic. 3) We do not cruise in August preferring earlier/later timings. 4) I am a walking disabled passenger. So here we go. Embarkation/disembarkation of the ship was without fault...

Good cruise overall. Same ship design as crown princess, p and o azura and Ventura. Like the food still but felt the quality had diminished slightly since our first princess cruise 5 years ago. First time that I didn’t buy any photos on ship as these were overpriced at $20 -$ 25 each and no discounts for quantity. My daughter still prefers this kids club to royal Caribbean s and you can leave the ship...

A lovely cruise on Emerald Princess. The service was the best ever also the food was excellent.. I found the mini I suite was smaller than expected ,also you do not get the extras like you have on P&O.Unfortunately there is no tea and coffee making on the American ships ,although we did get it on Celebrity Eclipse but not others as they do not sail from Southampton. All in all I found Princess very...

This was a fantastic cruise. other than embarking which was horrendous and disembarking which was not entirely smooth. The staff can’t do enough to please and everything about the cruise was wonderful. Amazing ports, fantastic weather and an all round wonderful holiday. Can’t wait for the next one!

Cruise

Enjoyed our Baltic cruise. Found it a little tiring. So many big cities so close together. Too far away to potter about on our own and tours very lengthy. Very hot lovely weather for us. Think a little more rest stops to just sit down for a few minutes would help Only one long tour in Helsinki included anything to eat or drink. Some people had to leave tours because they needed to sit. One...

Just returned from cruise round the Med on the emerald princess, nice inside cabin, staff very friendly, food very mediocre.Booked the 8-15 pm meal time, bit of a mistake, too late, missed the shows, which didn,t matter too much,as they wern,t up to much from what we were told.Apart from that we enjoyed going in the Wheelhouse, decent duo performing some good music, good banter with the waiters, especially Laurenco (Taliban),pity about the 15% Gratuity on every drink, made it a dear evening. Wasn,t impressed...

3* cruise – 5* price
By Ann Cecil on 08 July 2014
Princess Cruises | Emerald Princess Reviews

Travelling solo and paying 200% for the privilege, I booked this 17 day cruise for the itinerary, which I’m unable to fault. Unfortunately, Emerald Princess did not compare with my expectations gained on previous cruises taken with Princess. After receiving average food and slow service in the main restaurants, I tried Horizon Court in the evening and found the food was below standard and never served hot. After complaining the Ma??tre de did contact me...

The princess experience

Princess Cruises | Emerald Princess Reviews

Having just spent 17 days on board the emerald princess I personally found the experience probably just above average . There were good points and not so good points regarding this ship . Firstly the balcony cabin was adequate . Plenty of storage space but bathroom was a bit cramped . Balcony superb size on caribe deck . Service and entertainment on board really very good indeed . The negatives for me would be the...

This was our first time on princess cruises , the ship was good large and spacious , the cabin was good we liked the layout very much . The buffet restaurant was a little small for the amount of passages on board and one thing we was surprised about is that there was no hand sanitizer around the ship which we always see on other ships . We felt the captain could have been more...

Seven wonderful days at Sea

We have had a wonderful seven day cruise visiting La Coruna and Bilbao in Spain and Le Verdon for Bordeaux in France and finally calling at Guernsey. The ship and all the staff were very helpful and professional. We wish to make a special mention of our cabin steward who is called Anthony. He was excellent and kept our cabin immaculate and nothing was too much trouble for him. He acted very professionally and his...

Plastic plates???
By Tina Found on 01 June 2014
Princess Cruises | Emerald Princess Reviews

The quality and choice in the buffet dining definitely left something to be desired! If you enjoy eating and drinking from hot plastic plates and cups then this is the cruise for you, I personally find this objectionable and if this is normal on the Princess cruise line then it will be my first and last time with them. You also have to pay for shuttle buses and you have no ship representatives to help...

General

Princess Cruises | Emerald Princess Reviews

The embarkation was shambolic with no real leadership evident. Many were given a specific time to embark but this made no difference. The food was good and the service from the crew in the dining rooms and state room was first class. Having cruised mainly with P & O, we found the entertainment on Emerald was poor. There were no personalities either performing or giving talks, and the 3 shows with singers and dancers were...
