Oriana is one of the smallest cruise ships in the P&O Cruises fleet, elegantly combining classic design features such as teak decks and a tiered stern with delightful Art Deco touches. Exclusively for adults, she exudes refinement and luxury. Oriana’s signature features are a stunning atrium with a Tiffany glass ceiling and the Crow’s Nest bar.

On Oriana cruised Adriatic in October, booked on B Deck in Deluxe Balcony cabin, found standards dropping, the little things one has enjoyed in the past are no longer there ie no bath robe, no slippers not even a bowl of sweets. Service still v,good but food is also not as enjoyable. My tip to all, never order the always available option. Have always cruised with P&O but will be having second thoughts next time.

19 night cruise on Oriana
By Mrs D Pepperell on 01 November 2018
P&O Cruises | Oriana Reviews

Very good cruise, P&O staff attentive and always helpful, food very good. Have done many cruises in the past but this time due to a mobility problem hired a wheelchair – proved no problem to getting out and about. On the whole entertainment very good with one or two exceptions. The Croatian and Montenegro ports of cruise were excellent.

Such a shame that this ship is to be sold
By Jennifer Fairchild on 01 November 2018
P&O Cruises | Oriana Reviews

We have just returned from a cruise around the Adriatic aboard the Oriana, our first trip on this ship for over ten years. It has been refurbished recently and some layouts have been improved. I still question the ‘flow’ or lack of it, in the Conservatory, the buffet restaurant, which to me is impractical and leads to confusion and queues at popular times. Entertainment venues, like the theatre and Pacific lounge, are not the most...

19 nights primarily to the Adriatic provided us with some superb ports but particularly Zadar and Kotor…these should be added to everyone’s must-see places. We enjoyed excellent service from all the staff and P&O is difficult to beat on price..the ship is to be sold next year which is a shame but the engine noise at the back of the ship makes you feel it is time for her to go. We are not happy...

Adriatic cruise 5th Oct
By Joan Breban on 01 November 2018
P&O Cruises | Oriana Reviews

Just returned from a lovely Adriatic cruise. The ship is showing its age but nevertheless is very comfortable – service as always is very good and the cabin was very roomy (outside). Entertainment spot on!! and we were happy with all the restaurants and (in our tier) the extra benefits. Slightly let down by continual noise and vibration which came from the gym just above our cabin. This was reported on several occasions but to little...

Great Cruise

P&O Cruises | Oriana Reviews

Ignore the moaners, things beyond anyone’s control happen. We thoroughly enjoyed it, had fun with restaurant waiters, wine waiters and entertainment staff. Good food with plenty of variety. Headliners theatre company were excellent, other entertainments were good. Gerard, our cabin steward was wonderful, we just didn’t want to disembark. Now looking forward to next cruise on Britannia to the Baltic.

Change of itinerary
By Elaine Hallett on 15 October 2018
P&O Cruises | Oriana Reviews

The change of itinerary especially for Monte Carlo was a big disappointment. The excuse was a boat show. You can’t tell me that was a spur of the moment decision to hold it on that day. Other boats were there. Also having 4 tenders was awful. Only one was forecast.

Azores and Canaries, Gervase Phinn – what a star
By Christine Ball on 25 September 2018
P&O Cruises | Oriana Reviews

I, with my husband, have just returned from a 17 day cruise to The Azores and Canaries. The itinerary was excellent, made better by the weather. The cabin was extremely comfortable. Cabin steward superb, and all of the staff worked extremely hard as always. It has to be said that standards are slipping a little bit though. Little touches like the sweets in the cabin are no longer there, the silver service stopped quite a...

Farewell to Oriana is understandable.
By Paul on 25 September 2018
P&O Cruises | Oriana Reviews

We have just had a very enjoyable cruise on Oriana with the usual high standards expected from P&O. There were lots grumbles about Oriana being sold off to the Chinese to become floating casino but I think its probably about the right time. She still suffers vibration problems and failures of the power systems and domestic problems like water supply and toilet problems. She is past her best. Being “replaced” by a much larger ship...

Really enjoyed it

P&O Cruises | Oriana Reviews

We wanted a more relaxed cruise no big tours just relaxing and that is what we got. The ports of call which were the Azores, Portugal, and Canaries, which we found enjoyable, the best being Lisbon. The cruise itself the ship we like as its child-free, separate cinema I don’t like cinema on deck as it blares away like we had on Azura and it was mainly cartoons although it was term time. And you...

Dancing the night away
By Margaret Saddington on 25 September 2018
P&O Cruises | Oriana Reviews

This was my 55th P&O cruise and my 37th on my beloved Oriana. As always, it was so nice to be sailing on her again and I have two more cruises on her before she sadly leaves the fleet. However, the highlight of my cruise was the fact I was able to resume my ballroom dancing, which I had almost abandoned through lack of a dancing partner. It was so wonderful that the fabulous dance...

Everything about this cruise was first class! Congratulations to all ship’s company, the Headliners, the entertainers and particularly the speaker, Professor Gervase Phinn…seven talks, full theatre to standing room at every talk…superb! I am looking forward to my Christmas / New Year cruise on Oriana and am fortunate enough to be already booked on her final P & O cruise in July 2019. So very sad to see this beautiful ship sold. Seems in a...

No and yes

P&O Cruises | Oriana Reviews

Yes, this was a wonderful cruise after the first day’s disappointment. One of the reasons we booked this cruise itinerary was that we would visit Praia Da Rocha and NOT Cadiz. As soon as we left Southampton we were informed we would miss Praia and instead visit Cadiz (oh no) the cock and bull story was that as it was a tender people would be waiting on the harbourside to come back to the ship...

P&O Cruises | Oriana Reviews

We have just spent 19 nights on Oriana (a favourite of so many people) and everyone we spoke to on the ship were very sad to hear the news that Oriana has been sold. Why, why, why sell a much-loved ship and replace it with yet another huge vessel? Disembarking must be even more horrendous than we experienced last weekend with three or four thousand extra people trying to collect their luggage in order to...

A sad farewell

P&O Cruises | Oriana Reviews

Well, I think that will be our last trip on Oriana. Our first ever cruise was on her twenty years ago this month, so it seems a fitting time for us to bid her farewell. Although we are always guided more by itinerary than the ship, the style and convenience of the smaller ships is still a big factor for us. We love the promenade deck and miss it on other ships. The only major...

Princess Cruises | Oriana Reviews

Several passengers have already commented on the cruise to Greenland, Iceland and the Faroe Islands. Greenland was a revelation in that it was part of the world so few travellers had experienced. To see icebergs that looked like floating flats passing at a safe distance. Mountains 10,000 feet high rising up from sea level. Going through Prince Christian Sund and passing a small collection of houses on a rock outcrop. Finally seeing a man selling...

We very much enjoyed this cruise, on the Oriana, she is a comfortable mid-sized ship and will be sorely missed when she leaves the P&O fleet. First port of call was Stornoway, but due to rough weather, we were unable to leave the ship, as the tender service was withdrawn. At Reykjavik, we took the Golen Circle trip, which was spectacular, as we visited the Gullfoss waterfall, the Geysers and the Thingvellir National Park which...
