Title: Fabulous Baltic Explorer Summary: 14 nights of being pampered, very good food, extremely comfortable beds and cultural overload in every port of call. Not to mention some excellent company. This was one of the best cruises to date (10 done so far). Lots of positives, service being near the top. Entertainment on board was of a higher standard than last time. On the negative side, drink prices are what you would expect in a luxury hotel in London and...

Title: Great Cruise, Panama, Central America Summary: Excellent voyage from San Francisco to Ford Lauderdale via LA Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama through the Canal and then Aruba. All great places except Cabo Lucas in Mexico, this a purpose built area that was more interested in booze and Niagara. All the remaining ports were just first class. This was experienced on Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth which is loverly ship with attentive staff. Unfortunately some standards have dropped but only minor points, now have...

Title: Cape Town to Melbourne Jan 2019 Summary: I like Cunard, we have sailed on all three Queens. We sailed on the QE last summer to the Baltic and by coincidence, this cruise was on the same ship, we chose the route rather than the ship on this occasion. Having said that QE is a lovely ship, very comfortable. My wife and I are in our early 60’s and in my view are still a little young for many aspects of Cunard cruises,...

Title: Falling standards Summary: I have cruised many times with Cunard and have Diamond status. The Xmas cruise was a disappointment food wise. The portions have been reduced in size the combinations of food was at time odd and after requesting HOT, HOT, food in the restaurant on the 6pm servings I had to constantly send it back as the plates were cold. Vegetables were only served on request. The waiters were wonderful and embarrassed at the complaints at...

Title: Very disappointing Summary: We booked our 2018 Christmas cruise on Queen Elizabeth after having a fabulous 2017 Christmas cruise on Queen Victoria. It’s so different considering both ships are Cunard. We had a lot of onboard spending money as we had put £100 down payment before leaving Queen Victoria a year ago, I absolutely loved the shops on Queen Victoria and was looking forward to spending all this money in the shops this Christmas on Queen Elizabeth. Well...

Title: Poor food/mediocre service Summary: Booked a club balcony dined in Club Restaurant the food was cold more often than not as was the water in a teapot for breakfast the excuse given was that the Club Restaurant was some distance from Galley. The quality of food was very poor indeed the same veg every night. The choice was very bland typical of a 2/3 star hotel the cruise was the first week of December and we were given a...

Title: Not as good as previous Cunard cruises Summary: There was a flood on deck 8 starboard and we heard from one person that he had been without water. We didn’t have a flood but the balcony and furniture was covered in an oily substance and the roof was very discoloured. It splashed on the glass door/ window so we thought it was raining. Two officers who came to look left footprints in it and said the steward would clean it up which he...

Title: Cunard going down hill Summary: Is Cunard going down hill? This is the third time we have been on the queen Elizabeth I do not think we will be going again. First I must say that all the staff we came across were very polite and very good at there jobs, however, the standard of food was very poor, sometimes cold, some very small portions and not presented very well at times. During the refit I think they must have removed...

Title: Canaries cruise Summary: Left Southampton in the rain on the 2nd December but two days later beautiful weather from then on even the last stop Lisbon. The refit is well designed and the thoughts behind it executed with detail. I only have one small comment in that they have changed the staff and the shops under another franchise. This has changed the character of the ship and to me, it didn’t marry up with the rest of the...

Title: Special Birthdays on Queen Elizabeth Summary: We were a party of 8, on board especially as the mini cruise coincided with my husband’s and best friends 70th Birthday (30 November and1 December). 2 in our party had never cruised before and 1 had never cruised from Southampton so we were keen to show the how fantastic it can be. Embarkation was very efficient and we were all soon sitting outside on deck with drinks in hand. Drinks are pricey and the...

Title: Noisy Summary: The walls constantly and loud rattles all night so no sleep for me. The engine noise was in my ears rumbling all night. Poor English means you get overpriced wine without noticing, so be careful and be prepared to argue the bill. Clean and plush in all other areas. Ruel, our room service, was very attentive and good natured.

Title: Disappointing Summary: As the ship was undergoing a refurbishment at the end of the cruise we felt we were short changed as they seemed to wind down early e.g. running short of spa items our favourite wine shopping was dismal and entertainment not up to scratch.

Title: Unfortunately underwhelming Summary: I would like to get the positives out of the way first. The crew were all first class, the cabin was comfortable and the locations were decent enough. Ship design was incredible and the guest speakers were superb. I very much enjoyed everything I saw. Now for the negatives. Firstly, we were not informed that the ship was due for a re-fit as soon as we returned to Southampton. As we were disembarking in Southampton,...

Title: Drinks Summary: Queen Elizabeth 1st October 2018 15 nights canaries, great cruise, food, service, ports. Had on board spends luckily, as drinks prices plus 15% gratuities each time you buy drinks were frightening. Think I am right in saying that, goods on ships at sea are duty-free, so Cunard has the wrong policy in overcharging, the range of goods in retail shops was unattractive and overpriced. All the cruise companies should consider abandoning the outdated gratuities system,...

Title: Disappointing cuisine. Summary: Last with Cunard 2011. Huge decrease in the standard of cooking and presentation. Cold hot food, warm ice cream and cheesecake, often overcooked meats and raw (not al dente) veg. Oh dear. What went wrong in the galley?

Title: Short break to Guernsey Summary: Enjoyed the cruise, arrived in Guernsey on the Sunday after a cruise around the channel, many of the shops were closed, why didn’t we arrive on Saturday? Had to get tech staff to cure the irritating noise coming from the a/c unit, which kept me awake! The insulating material had appeared to have been removed but not replaced! I was surprised at the very high cost of the wines $48-€55 We have always discussed the...

Title: Great Cruise shame about the noise Summary: The cruise was very good we had some great destinations and the weather was glorious all cruise. Inside Queen Elizabeth is a wonderful ship, only the odd rust spots and unfinished paint jobs made some areas look a bit shabby, and they were always doing work around deck 10 which meant we could not walk around the ship. The staff were brilliant and could not do enough for you, as normal with Cunard the drink...

Title: Top quality cruise Summary: Queen Elizabeth is a beautiful well kept ship. Service was excellent. The food served was quality rather than quantity. Anybody who wanted to eat excess could go to the Lido restaurant where there was a good self-serve selection. We opted to have breakfasts and dinner in the main dining room, service and quality were always excellent. Entertainment was very good, but the guest speakers were fantastic. Angela Dillon gave a talk about her life-to-date. Very...
