Cunard Line Ship Review Queen Elizabeth Reviews

Queen Elizabeth launched in 2010, christened by Her Majesty the Queen, becoming the newest luxury liner in the Cunard fleet. Recalling the rich heritage of the first Cunarder to bear her name, Queen Elizabeth’s elegance and modern features have won her many accolades, retaining the essence of the Cunard brand whilst taking the creator of ‘the most famous ocean liner in the world’ firmly into the future.

Our 50th wedding annniversary celebrated in style on Q.E. Everything is so special on this ship. Brittannia Club Restaurant is magnificent. We were really spoilt from entering our cabin with champagne and flowers to the day we disembarked. Would really recommend Cunard for any special occasion!!

Mediterranean Cruise on Queen Elizabeth
By Desmond Ward on 15 October 2016
Cunard Line | Queen Elizabeth Reviews

I have recently taken a cruise on Cunard after many as a platinum passenger. I was so disappointed! It has been pared down to a point where after many years I do not want to take another cruise with them. The cabin steward was good as generally most of the staff but not as many and it showed in the Lido where dirty crockery was left on the tables. They have done away with the...

Cunard Line | Queen Elizabeth Reviews

Previous cruises have always been taken with P & O who in the past have been excellent but regrettably, due to cutbacks, are sliding backwards, thus a change to Cunard, who whilst claiming to be a premier brand do not, unfortunately live up to their past reputation . The ship itself is very spacious & comfortable with plenty of seating areas, inside & outside. It is clean and very Art Decor with plenty of wood furnishings.Cabins...

Cunard Line | Queen Elizabeth Reviews

Having just returned from a 15 day cruise to the Canaries, and our first cruise with Cunard, it get all 5 stars from us, everything about the cruise was wonderful, the food, service, staff, entertainment, general feel was relaxed and comfortable. The daily reports from the Bridge mainly from the Captain kept us well informed. The only negative thing was the Cunard fare says including “shuttle bus” where provide, unfortunately it was only provided in...

Queen Elizabeth Q615

Cunard Line | Queen Elizabeth Reviews

We celebrated our 60th wedding anniversary aboard the Queen Elizabeth. Booking the cruise and registering went smoothly. The view of the ship when we entered the docks was awe inspiring. Our amazement increased as a smartly dressed steward took us to our cabin. It was apparent that no expense had been spared on fittings and decorations in the vessel. The cabin, an ( inside standard ) was clean , comfortable and welcoming. Our steward was attentive...

Luxury to 3rd World in the Length of a Gangway
By Sue on 31 July 2016
Cunard Line | Queen Elizabeth Reviews

As always with Cunard, the condition, cleanliness and service were of a high standard. I feel that Queen Elizabeth is not a happy ship, and felt that even more this time. There’s just no jollity from the officers (with the exception of the Deputy Captain) and that trickles down to the crew, so the atmosphere was very flat. However, Southampton Port is getting worse. It took over 3 hours for my cases to arrive at...

Sun beds !

Cunard Line | Queen Elizabeth Reviews

Beautiful Ship, fabulous food , great Itinery , Greek Island Cruise, weather wonderful …. But ….The sun beds were extremely uncomfortable . They are badly designed . There is no back support and I noticed that they kept running out of deck towels because people were taking 4 or 5 towels to try and plug the back of the sun bed where there was a great big gaping hole. No back support at all. My...

This was our second cruise on the Queen Elizabeth, last time was four years ago. The ship still has its excellent service, superb food and high quality decor. This time my wife and I decided to try club dinning, although there is a higher cost for this option, we found it was worth the cost, as it gives you any time dinning so you are not restricted on the two seating times in he main restaraunt,...

Complaint of Dining arrangements
By David Drew on 29 June 2016
Cunard Line | Queen Elizabeth Reviews

Generally our cruise No.Q607 was good. However, we have a severe criticism of the Grills dining facilities. Our last three cruises have been Princess Grill due to the superior dining arrangements. The two previous occasions were excellent. This last trip we had a dreadful table squashed into the side of the room between three other tables. Our chairs touched the chairs of the people behind us so we could not easily adjust our seating without...

Hamburg and back
By Roger Bowe on 21 May 2016
Cunard Line | Queen Elizabeth Reviews

Having cruised with Cunard several times before we had the opportunity to take a short cruise on QE from Southampton to Hamburg and back. The weather was wet and foggy when we left Southampton but by the next morning the sun was shining brightly. We had chosen a Club Balcony stateroom as this provided all meals in the small Britannia Club restaurant and evening meals could be taken at any time between 6.30 and 9.00...

Queen Elizabeth assessment
By HJ Waddington on 17 May 2016
Cunard Line | Queen Elizabeth Reviews

Ship excellent, crew and service top marks. However the American policy of priing wine meant many people either didnot partake at the restaurant or consumed in their stateroom. Britannia restaurant was guilty of rushing passengers on the first sitting and the limited choice of only four items for main course was surprising(the other two were vegetarians)The policy of charging whenever the opportunity arose was irritating. All in all we feelo P and O are better...

Great ship disappointing Grills suite
By MICHAEL NOAKES on 09 March 2016
Cunard Line | Queen Elizabeth Reviews

We sailed to Cape Town in January for the first time on QE. We were impressed with the art deco public area designs and warmth the chosen colours gave. We travelled in a Princess Grill suite as we have done before on the Queen Mary but were disappointed with the layout, space and tiny balcony. Whilst acknowledging that the QE is a slightly smaller ship Cunard have seriously compromised the ‘Grills Brand’ with these cabins...
