First Cruise with Cunard
By Harry Myles on 31 December 2015
Cunard Line | Queen Elizabeth Reviews

I considered I got a good deal on the pre-Christmas cruise. Having travel numerous times with P&O (Oriana, Aurora) this was the second time with Cunard. The first time was several years ago on the QE2. It was on its last legs when we sailed with her and you cannot compare it with the present three Queens. The decor on the Queen Elizabeth was different to P&O. If giving marks I would say 100 to...

A visit to sunnier climes escaping the British winter. Unfortunately, high winds prevented a call at Lanzarote & a visit to The Mountain of Fire, which was disapointing. Enjoyed the company of two delightful couples from Wales at our table in Britannia restuarant-we haven’t always been so fortunate! The entertainment, lectures etc, were superb. It was wonderful to dine outside in Funchal in the middle of Christmas celebrations. We visited the world renowned Aquarium at Finisterre/ La Coruna-superb,despite all the...

GREAT SHIP, ROUGH SEAS
By Mr Bradshaw on 29 December 2015
Cunard Line | Queen Elizabeth Reviews

This was not our first cruise with Cunard, we had been with Queen Victoria before so knew we were in for a good cruise. Embarkation at Southampton was lightning fast, they have certainly improved the process, very quick and easy. We had a balcony room at the aft on the 6th deck. Good size, clean and an excellent cabin steward. The public areas of QE were beautiful and always exceptionally clean. Could not fault the...

We were in the Princess Grill class which was absolutely superb. The best part of it was having access to the grill restaurant. We had a table for two as requested and we could dine whenever we liked. The food and service was the best we have ever had on any cruise ship and I don’t think it could ever be bettered.

1st time on Cunard
By Anne Marczak on 14 November 2015
Cunard Line | Queen Elizabeth Reviews

As seasoned cruisers on sea and on rivers, we thought it time to try out Cunard. We were impressed with the speed of embarkation and the general layout of the ship. No-one showed us how to find our cabin but the ship interior is easy to navigate. The cabin is better designed than most of this size with plenty of storage and very comfortable bedding and bed. We never like the fixed seating arrangements but...

I was looking for Art Deco, i found lots of beige, brown, and even my cabin was beige, we discussed this at our dinner and were unanimous about the depressive decor. The food was average, often very small portions,in fact one of our starters was one spring roll cut into three pieces. The waiters were really good , cheeful and helpful, but the meat often came up in big chunks definitely not carved! Lido staff...

Venice and back in my dance shoes
By pamela senior on 23 October 2015
Cunard Line | Queen Elizabeth Reviews

Enjoyed the cruise overall. Clever lady Captain kept us safe, even re-arranging a port because of weather. Weather overall was good. Only fly in the ointment was that I found the standard of dancing by the dance hosts not really as good as on previous trips. One was very good, but of course, not always available. However, in the ‘Strictly Competition’ I danced with a wonderful passenger, and we won! As the song Copacobana might...

We were in the Princes Grill and everything about the cabin food and service were excellent. The cruise Itinery however was disappointing in that we missed out Helsinki which was a favourite of mine on the last Baltic cruise that I did with a girl friend. Also it had many changes in guests arriving and disembarking which I found very odd from Mini Cruises for two to three days to picking up many passengers in...

Fabulous Holiday

Cunard Line | Queen Elizabeth Reviews

What a wonderful holiday my mum and I have just had. I use a mobility scooter (as I have MS) and nothing was a bother – even got scooter off on tender at St Raphael! Everything was terrific – the food, attention, ports and the people we met. We renewed old friendships and made new ones. We are Queen Victoria fans but the Queen Elizabeth was just as good. It was like stepping onto the...

Newish cruisers

Cunard Line | Queen Elizabeth Reviews

Queen Elizabeth is everything you imagine she would by. The staff and service second to none. I feel a little more information regarding the tours would be helpful. Some like the two day St Petersburg trips were incredible , extremely tiring but worth the effort. Some like the Belgium and perhaps Kiel, it would have been easier to relax on the ship for two days and enjoy a leisurely breakfast. We met some very nice...

Cunard vs P&O Mediterranean Cruise
By Paul Amos on 07 July 2015
Cunard Line | Queen Elizabeth Reviews

Having taken numerous cruises with p&o, we thought we would take a cruise with Cunard after a break of 5 years. we have cruised with p&o on numerous occasions and thought it might be useful to provide a comparison between Cunard and P&O. We embarked at the ocean terminal Southampton arriving at approximately at 11:30am. Embarkation was considerable more protracted with Cunard than P&O, taking circa 120 mins to board (30 mins with p&o. The...

Cruise Queen Elizabeth 16/6

Just returned from a most enjoyable cruise on the Queen Elizabeth. Everything was excellent the ship, the crew, the weather and ports. My only disappointment is the poor standard of entertainment provided in the theatre. It seems amateurish and very dated and has not improved since my last visit to the Queen Elizabeth. I love the Cunard ships and will continue to be loyal to the brand but the number of people complaining about the...

A memorable cruise due to the fine celebration of the 175th anniversary of Cunard in Liverpool. Cunard and Liverpool gave all 3 ships a wonderful day and evening. The Queen Elizabeth is a beautiful ship run by a magnificent crew. One major decision not to berth at Stockholm and for no adequate explanation was unacceptable. This caused dissatisfaction throughout the passengers avd various rumours to circulate. Stockholm was a major port of interest and the...

Cunard’s Wonderful Care Service

Unfortunately our Med Cruise hardly got off the ground when my Sister had an accident in Barcelona, spent 7 days in hospital and 8 days in a hotel. Evacuating QE and getting my Sister to Hospital was done professionally and quickly by the medical team, various other members of staff and their port agent. Cunard’s Care Department in Southampton quickly made contact with us to offer their help and services and phoned regularly to check...

We have cruised many times before but mainly on P and O out of. Southampton This was our first real fly cruise and we flew from. Manchester to Athens and returned from Venice to Manchester at the end Our Bolsover rep had told us that Cunard was like P and O in the old days with more dressing for dinner and more formal nights which we enjoy. The ship would be more cosmopolitan with mainly....
