Our 50th Wedding Annivery Celebration cruise
By Terry and Pat Day on 11 October 2014
Cunard Line | Queen Mary 2 Reviews

We had a fantastic cruise. Queen Mary lived up to our expectation in most ways. However we have to say is that as a Cunarder we were disappointment that we felt devalued as a passenger doing the full 26 days of this cruise. We understand that 400 odd people did the full cruise, but the emphasis was always on the transatlantic elements of the 26 days, rather than the whole cruise. We also had the...

Best cruise yet
By David Biddle on 11 September 2014
Cunard Line | Queen Mary 2 Reviews

My wife and I returned to Southampton on 4 September having spent 15 very enjoyable nights on the QM2. This was the best cruise we have experienced. From the Meet and Greet car parking service at the docks to picking up our car again at the end again in the short stay car park all went very smoothly. Check in was quick, our stateroom very clean and luggage arrived as we opened the door. As...

Cunard Line | Queen Mary 2 Reviews

My wife and I have had many cruises to various parts of the world. When the opportunity arose for us to visit friends in the USA we chose to travel transatlantic on board the Queen Mary 2. What a good decision, it was 5 star plus. it by far exceeded our expectations and any doubts we may have has about the ship in rough seas were totally unfounded. We just sailed through the waves as...

To the Artic Circle
By Roy Alford on 29 August 2014
Cunard Line | Queen Mary 2 Reviews

The itinerary for the cruise was very good and we enjoyed the cruise very much. It is the first time we have been on Queen Mary 2 and although she is a magnificent ship, we felt the layout did not flow as well as on Victoria and Elizabeth. The library and bookshop were well away from the other services on board. The Kings Court layout seemed a little disjointed although you were always able to...

A SHIP WITH TRADITION
By Peter Tolan on 27 August 2014
Cunard Line | Queen Mary 2 Reviews

The Queen Mary 2 is the flagship f the Cunard fleet and is steeped in the tradition of famous trans-Atlantic liners. It was stressed that this trip to Norway and the Arctic Circle was a “voyage,” not a cruise, but there was nothing to differentiate this from other trips with other lines. Make no mistake, the QM2 is a magnificent vessel. The rich red carpet in the wide hallway to the Grand Lobby provided a...

Cunard Line | Queen Mary 2 Reviews

My wife and I have been on both of Cunards other two ships the VIctoria and the Elizabeth, so it was our wish to cruise on there flag ship QM2, so we decided for a cruise again to the Norwegian Fiords as we first went there on the Queen Victoria. Firstly the ship is very big, and because my wife has a walking disability a wheelchair is essential,we decided again for a balcony cabin with...

We travelled on the QM2 for the Atlantic Crossing in June – the weather was kind to us and the crossing fine. The quality of the service is excellent – the food very good – small portions but if you you are still hungry you can go to the self service at Kings Court which is almost open 24/7. The speakers & interviews were excellent, the shoew were ok and the films were varied and...

LITTLE THINGS
By Madeleine (HEYWOOD) FLORING on 30 June 2014
Cunard Line | Queen Mary 2 Reviews

The ship is beautiful and we very much enjoyed our transatlantic passage, our cabin and the service there were perfect. We ate very well, and service at dinnertime in the restaurants was 5 star, but not always at breakfast. The entertainment can also not be faulted. The following criticisms are for things that did not spoil our cruise, but could maybe improve our next cruise. We have already filled out reviews for Cunard, but did...

First time cruise with Cunard on Queen Mary 2 . Beautiful ship cabin upgrade great ,dined in the Britannia Grill food excellent good choice service good. Entertainment average could have been better. The only fault was the saving of sunbeds towels out before 7am everymorning and beds not being used till late morning. Shops on board very poor.

Shame about the Weather

Cunard Line | Queen Mary 2 Reviews

Firstly we must say thank you to Bolsover for getting us an Upgrade, Wonderful. We must say that we did not enjoy the MARY as much as the Elizabeth. Just the size really, but we did not think the food was quite as good.In every other respect the Cunard experience was there. The Lectures were exceptionally good. What disappointed us was the weather, not CUNARDS FAULT OF COURSE, but it did mean that we could not...

Grand Lady

Cunard Line | Queen Mary 2 Reviews

This was our 1st cruise with Cunard and we were expecting great things, as we were told that she was much more formal than P&O. QM2 did not disappoint us. She left Southampton and she battled with up to Force 10 gales most of the way over to NY and she won spectacularly, slicing through the water with ease, as she was built for these conditions. The Commodore was amazing apart from being very charming...

Joined the QM2 in Dec 2013 for a 5 day cruise visiting Belgium and France. The booking in process was faultless at Southampton, the check in time was shown as 14:30hrs, however we were aboard for 13:00. We had a balcony cabin which was lovely, nice size with the toilet/shower being larger than the Victoria. We were allocated a table for 6 for dinner, but after speaking with the ma??tre de and explaining we were...

Superb four night cruise
By Philip Higgins on 24 December 2013
Cunard Line | Queen Mary 2 Reviews

This four night cruise on QM2 departed Southampton on 26th November2013 and went to Zeebrugge and Le Havre. What a magnificent ship QM2 is. She is noticeably an ocean going liner as opposed to a cruise ship like her contemporaries. We stayed in a Q6 grade Queens Grills room having been offered a complimentary upgrade from Princess Grills by Cunard. What an experience! We felt like royalty! From the Butler to the restaurant staff we...

High expectations – what a let down!
By James Flynn on 23 December 2013
Cunard Line | Queen Mary 2 Reviews

We booked a 5 day mini cruise with friends, leaving on 11th December. None of us had cruised with Cunard, but we had high expectations of a lovely break prior to Christmas. What a let down! The Queen Mary 2 from the outside is a magnificent, dare I say beautiful ship. Nothing like a block of flats like some big cruise ships. Our outside cabins on decks 5 & 6 were of a good size...

We booked a last minute four night cruise on queen mary 2 departing southampton on 11 Dec.The itinerary was calling at zeebrugge and Le Havre, been there many times but thought everything would be quite festive with various christmas markets and a chance to do some last minute shopping. The price was excellent value and the weather forecast looked good so we rang Bolsover and hastily packed our cases and were on our way to southampton from...

Lack of Food

Cunard Line | Queen Mary 2 Reviews

The joy of cruising was always the dining experience, sadly it looks as if this is a thing of the past if our recent trip onboard QM2 is anything to go by. Portion control was very evident within the main dining room and certainly not how we experienced on previous trips. We were amazed at how small the dishes were, beautifully presented but you can only do so much with 1 potato, three runner beans...

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to comment on our experiences on the QM2. M332 Mini Cruise. It was fantastic. This was our second Cunard cruise after the QE some 25 years ago. We have always been apprehensive about Cunard, not any more. Everything was fantastic from the food, bedroom steward, room service, children’s clubs, we loved it. Cunard will be my first choice depending on itinerary of course. My family have cruised with...

Travelled 4 times across the Atlantic on this fabulous liner. Yes it is the only liner left in the world. But wanted to try out how it would be as a cruise liner. So we went to the Canary Isles, visiting Lisbon, Tenerife, Las Palmas and Funchal. The weather was perfect all the way.Facilities whether on Atlantic crossings or on this cruise are excellent. Food and refereshments are overpowering. Some guests (that is who Cunard want...

Make sure you fly earlier!

Cunard Line | Queen Mary 2 Reviews

Our cruise offer was to fly from London Heathrow early morning to JFK airport and cruise back from New York to Southampton, which was scheduled to leave New York at 16.30 local time. We boarded the aeroplane on time even though engineers were working on a fault with it. After almost an hour the captain informed us that the fault could not be fixed quickly and we were disembarked back to the terminal and given...
