Queen Victoria Reviews
After an extensive refit in 2017, Queen Victoria doesn’t just meet expectations, she exceeds them. Her facilities are amongst the most modern on the
seas, yet she exudes an air of traditional elegance so evocative of great liners past. Luxurious marble, Art Deco accents, dark wood panelling, rich fabrics and opulent decoration create a special ambience and provide the perfect backdrop for Cunard’s renowned ‘White Star’ service.

Great cruise on Queen Victoria!Byon 10 July 2017Cunard Line | Queen Victoria Reviews
Excellent service. Beautiful ship. Great food. Just a lovely experience from beginning to end. A word of caution though….. drinks prices are steep and then there is the 15% service charge on top. So, be prepared for a potentially pricey bar bill. That said, I’d travel Cunard again without question. Great time.
Excellent Mediterranean CruiseByon 10 July 2017Cunard Line | Queen Victoria Reviews
The cruise was excellent. The stops were good and even though we could not stop at Cannes the replacement port Toulon was great. We found every stop with the exception of Gibraltar very reasonable regarding price. A good cruise.
Pompous and morose!Byon 29 June 2017Cunard Line | Queen Victoria Reviews
We have now done several cruises on several different lines but without doubt this was the worst one! Whilst the ship is immaculately presented and the service is good it lacks any soul whatsoever. Catering to the 1920’s oldies who are on their millionth cruise with Cunard and want all the pomp and glory of bygone days, together with morose music and third rate entertainment, for us this was an awful experience.
Third Cruise with CunardByon 29 October 2016Cunard Line | Queen Victoria Reviews
Most enjoyable from start with organised easy check in at Heathrow. Superb menus and very good quality food in the Brittania restaurant and in The Lido buffet. Hygiene reminders good although we did observe some people not using the gel. Stateroom was a good size, very comfortable beds and so many luxurious pillows. Good shows in the theatre and a sense of occasion in the evening with the majority of guests observing the dress code...
Smaller shipsByon 08 October 2016Cunard Line | Queen Victoria Reviews
We sailed on Queen Victoria for the first time after 25 years cruising. We ienjoyed everyday. The itinerary was excellent and we were informed daily by Commador Ryder of any changes or developments. ALL the staff were efficient and courteous and ALL contributed to the success of the cruise We enjoyed the smaller ship as it was easier to get around and more compact but was as well equipped as much larger vessels. We shall...
Not up to expectationByon 25 September 2016Cunard Line | Queen Victoria Reviews
We had a great holiday However, when comparing this cruise with our previous 5 cruises we felt that Cunard did not come up to expectations. When booking a Cunard cruise we expected to step up a notch to the previous cruises with 3 other cruise lines, however, we felt that our experience was a notch lower. The service apart from the evening restaurant was not of the same standard as perhaps Celebrity or Princess. The...
Beautiful Queen VictoriaByon 24 September 2016Cunard Line | Queen Victoria Reviews
Beautiful elegant ship. Delightful Art Deco style. Comfortable cabin ,excellent service. Enjoyed entertainment . Plenty of room everywhere , lots of seating. Air conditioning kept the ship to shivering point (needed sweaters and jackets in the card room!) .As many passengers only cruised for 7 days it was ‘ first week’ atmosphere both weeks. Our early dining table in the Britania restaurant excellent company. General opinion 6pm too early ,missed most ‘ sailings’ .Food disappointing...
Happy CruisingByon 10 September 2016Cunard Line | Queen Victoria Reviews
Our first time with Cunard, having mostly cruised with P & O. Whilst we have enjoyed several cruises with P & O we have to say we are converted to Cunard. I do feel standards are dropping slightly, possibly with most cruise lines but we were certainly impressed with Cunard. The service was excellent in all areas and nothing was too much trouble. We would highly recommend Cunard.
Queen Victoria V609Byon 24 July 2016Cunard Line | Queen Victoria Reviews
Once again a superb cruise on the QV visiting, amongst others, Croatia and Montenegro – well worth a visit if you haven’t been. The reason we haven’t given full marks to condition and cleanliness is that in the stateroom some drawers were broken and the carpet was in need of replacement/cleaning. In terms of overall cleanliness the outside windows in the public areas and also on the balcony were in desperate need of cleaning. We...
Fantastic CruiseByon 16 July 2016Cunard Line | Queen Victoria Reviews
Another fantastic cruise on the Queen Victoria. Food wonderful, staff fantastic and the service first class
Cruise V.607 99/6/16====23/6/16.Byon 30 June 2016Cunard Line | Queen Victoria Reviews
Ship, Stateroom, Food, Entertainment, up to the usual Cunard High Standard. The only downside was the ship to shore disembarkation at Southampton on 23/6/16. This left a lot to be desired. My wife and I required wheelchair assistance. This eventually arrived 1 hour later at 10.am. Was this due to lack of Wheelchairs available ? Lack of Pushers ? or both, or to the number ,and age passengers on board requiring help? The only good...
Review June 2016Byon 30 June 2016Cunard Line | Queen Victoria Reviews
I enjoyed every minute of this cruise, it was my fourth stay on this ship and the standard remains excellent throughout. I was fortunate to be in a balcony cabin which allowed me to take advantage of the sunshine and fresh air from my own room. I look forward to my next cruise on Cunard Lines.
cunard cruiseByon 30 June 2016Cunard Line | Queen Victoria Reviews
from walking onto Queen Victoria we felt special. entertainment was London show standard, guest speaker was Robert Powell very good and we went to listern to Mr Cunard Bill Millar how interesting learnt so much from his talks. however we thought it was slightly too long sea days left Southampton Thursday got to first port of Barcelona Monday afternoon! although you are surposed to enjoy the beautiful ship whilst on these sea days we thought...
Evening wearByon 05 June 2016Cunard Line | Queen Victoria Reviews
Recently returned from our second cruise on the Queen Victoria and would like to say that it was an extremely lovely trip with the exception of being asked by the Commodore on the friday evening just before going into the theatre. He informed me that I needed to wear a jacket which I had on during dinner but because it gets fairly warm in the theatre, I decided to leave my jacket in the cabin....
Glorious weather, good experience with Cunard againByon 05 June 2016Cunard Line | Queen Victoria Reviews
This was our second Cunard trip having previously been on the QE. We were on a guarantee cabin, obstructed view and that’s exactly what we got, so no upgrade but that was fine. We were dead opposite the launderette, very handy, no noise or problems with it. As last time embarkation was very quick and Cunard still hold the record for us for fastest embarkation. The cabin was as expected, we were on a table...
Lisbon and CanariesByon 30 May 2016Cunard Line | Queen Victoria Reviews
It was a very pleasant cruise with perfect Cunard standards, an excellent stateroom on deck 4 and the usual wonderful food. The venues we visited gave us plenty to see and we were very fortunate with the weather. Queen Victoria is our favourite ship and it did not let us down. The Commander Christopher Rynd runs it perfectly and has the respect of all his staff. We look forward to our next cruise.
Quality cruise lineByon 29 May 2016Cunard Line | Queen Victoria Reviews
Canards standards are always high especially on the dining front. It was a late booking and had the choice of cruising Britannia or Azura both offering balcony cabins but choose Queen Victoria as the the timing, cruise itinerary suited us better although it was an inside cabin!! Not my cabin of choice, usually have a balcony cabin but my husband convinced me it would be OK. It wasn’t ok was allocated on deck 4 towards the...
Hong Kong to SouthamptonByon 18 May 2016Cunard Line | Queen Victoria Reviews
We have always cruised with p&o but no more we had a fab time on queen victoria the quality of service the staff and crew were always polite and friendly always somewere comfortable to sit and lots of room on the sun decks not like p&o were you are over crowded. my only complaint is the cost of drinks and the add on of 15% on top we will be looking forward to our next...
transfer to shipByon 17 May 2016Cunard Line | Queen Victoria Reviews
Very good, perfect ship and staff, great experience and itinerary all together… However the transfer from Hong Kong airport to the QV did not appear. Left waiting for over an hour We therefore decided to take a taxi , with serious luggage, to the port boarding point, which was also poorly staffed when we arrived, small detail but did not show Cunard in best light. Victorious Victoria.Byon 12 February 2016Cunard Line | Queen Victoria Reviews
A great crossing. Some turbulence, to be expected in January. Loved the ship. The relaxed atmosphere even though it is a formal ship. Everyone takes part and nobody tries to flaunt the rule. Meals superb. Entertain!sent first class. Great fun at the dance classes. We will be looking for Victoria going around the Med or something similar. Great holiday all round
