Ok, but little crafting, no bridge and duplicated entertainment if you do two back to back 7 day cruisesByon 21 November 2017Princess Cruises | Ruby Princess Reviews
Went on two back to back 7 day cruises from LA going to different places. Entertainment was good, but a lot of unnecessary duplication between cruises, even though we paid full price for both of them and there were several of us ‘transit’ passengers on board. Very disappointing. Bed was also uncomfy so both of us had a bad back for the second week. No bridge on board, and very limited crafting, which was very...
Alaskan CruiseByon 18 July 2017Princess Cruises | Ruby Princess Reviews
We enjoyed the cruise and the crew and staff were excellent. Our only comments were why charge for coffee in the evening dining rooms? No receipts were given for drinks although the final accounts were correct.
Dream Holiday – NotByon 27 October 2015Princess Cruises | Ruby Princess Reviews
The specially requested sleeping arrangements were beyond a joke. We requested a third bed and we were advised they had only three cabins where this was possible, we booked one of them. On arrival in cabin, steward unaware of request, he had made up a pull down bunk. We explained our request and he fetched what we were told would be a roll out bed, which turned out to be a fold up, what we...
The Caribbean with Ruby PrincessByon 13 February 2015Princess Cruises | Ruby Princess Reviews
One of the best parts of this experience was the way the agent (Bolsover Cruise Club) found the right cruise for us based on an understanding of what we were looking for as part of a one-month tour (planned by us) of Florida. We have very little experience in this field, apart from river cruises in Europe and a Southampton-New York-Sothampton crossing with Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 (which we loved). I have to say that...

British isles 2014Byon 12 December 2014Princess Cruises | Ruby Princess Reviews
I really enjoyed my time onboard Ruby and found the facilities to be of a high standard, the food was amazing especially when we had the opportunity to experience Crown grill! The staff were really friendly and helpful. All of the areas onboard are really well maintained and very clean. Ruby is a beautiful ship with lots of facilities.
Good cruiseByon 14 November 2014Princess Cruises | Ruby Princess Reviews
We have not long returned from a great cruise on the Ruby Princess, we love this ship and it was the fifth time we have been on it. The cruise started in Quebec and ended in Fort Lauderdale. The weather was very cold in Quebec and I gradually started to warm up the further south we cruised. The ship was spotlessly clean and the crew were all so friendly and helpful. Our cabin was well...
So Much BetterByon 16 September 2014Princess Cruises | Ruby Princess Reviews
Last time on Princess we were unhappy with the free coach service so this time the four of us drove down by car and this was so much better. Last time we were very unhappy with the production shows so this time we limited ourselves to just one of these shows and it was so much better than those on Ruby in May. Can’t really say that about most of the other shows although the...
Round Britain 2014Byon 10 August 2014Princess Cruises | Ruby Princess Reviews
Generally speaking this was a good Round Britain cruise on a comfortable, well constructed ship. One has to bear in mind that the majority of passengers on board this type of cruise are North American, and therefore food and dress code are aimed at these passengers. However there are others on board who should be considered, and I personally found the menus to be very poor in their variety. No special attempt was made on...
Summer cruiseByon 10 August 2014Princess Cruises | Ruby Princess Reviews
We have recently returned from a cruise around the British isles,I can honestly say it was one of the best trips we’ve done . From start to finish every crew member we came across was polite, smiling , and seemed genuinely happy. The food was above average and varied, and the speciality restaurant s excellent value. The weather was brilliant ( which always helps). Princess has become our favourite cruise line, where as some cruise...
Ruby around Great BritainByon 29 July 2014Princess Cruises | Ruby Princess Reviews
We enjoyed this cruise because everything was very good. The cabin steward was the most efficient and pleasant we have ever had. Martyn Moss the Cruise Director was very good and approachable. The food was excellent and served by great staff.
wonderful time as usual wiht PrincessByon 30 May 2014Princess Cruises | Ruby Princess Reviews
Myself and my husband had a wonderful time on the Ruby Princess. We flew to Miami and spent a night in the Intercontinental in Doral Florida. We have stayed there numerous times so we knew it would be ok. We had a good crossing over the weather was lovely and sunny. We stopped at Bermuda then three stops in Europe. We stayed on in Southampton and then did the British Isles leg of the cruise....
Ruby shines but not without flawsByon 19 November 2013Princess Cruises | Ruby Princess Reviews
Cruised to eastern Europe on Ruby Princess. Very good but not exceptional. Positives start with the entertainment which was excellent, led by brilliant cruise director Dan Styne. Lots of ports (perhaps too many in 11 days) and organisation was exemplary. Staff were all very friendly and efficient and cleanliness was reassuringly good. Negatives: food was good but in the main restaurants, lacked variety. Waiters seemed to be under instructions to push bottled water, ‘special’ coffees,...
Princess from now onByon 16 September 2013Princess Cruises | Ruby Princess Reviews
We have cruise with other cruise lines in the past, we decided to go with Princess as we liked the ports of call in the Itinerary. The cruise ship was the Ruby Princess with 3080 passengers, when at sea the ship didn’t seem over crowded, from the time we embarked to embarkation day, we were well looked after. The cabin was spotless, very spacious, comfortable bed, plenty of hanging space and cloths hangers, space to...
Ruby PrincessByon 04 September 2013Princess Cruises | Ruby Princess Reviews
Everything about the ship was excellent, the Staff, the service, the food the only real disappointment was the entertainment. We have done a number off cruises over the years and have always been spoilt for choice. However, this year we weerre so disappointed. There was only one ‘show’ . There was a violinist, and a comedia, who it has to be said was excellent. The shows only lasted 45 minutes too which was far shorter...
Ruby PrincessByon 27 August 2013Princess Cruises | Ruby Princess Reviews
Had inside cabin for the first time, very pleasantly surprised. Lots of storage space and very well appointed. Booked through Bolsover and took advice on deck etc and could not be more pleased. Itinerary of this Med cruise was perfect mix of relaxation and places of interest. Like the mix of nationalities on board but disappointed that small minority will not take the trouble to observe dress code. There are loads of other places to...
Excellent cruiseByon 24 June 2013Princess Cruises | Ruby Princess Reviews
Just returned from a Greek Islands cruise on the Ruby Princess, our second cruise with Princess. The crew were very helpful, polite and courteous, our stateroom was kept clean and tidy. The Captain was always there to inform us where we were and always had a laugh with everyone which made for a good atmosphere. Weather was beautiful along with choice if ports. Will definitely go with Princess again.
Well-named Grand Mediterranean CruiseByon 30 June 2012Princess Cruises | Ruby Princess Reviews
An amazing itinerary complemented by perfect weather. Sailaway from Venice was spectacular, Athens amazing, Ephesus from Kusadasi was really interesting, Istanbul was incredible, couldn’t land in Mykonos sadly as the sea was too rough to tender (apparently this is a very common problem – a crew member told us that they had had to omit Mykonos several times already this season), Naples for Pompeii (interesting but so busy and unbearably hot) and beautiful Sorrento, Civitavecchia...
Ruby PrincessByon 06 December 2011Princess Cruises | Ruby Princess Reviews
Ruby Princess was still in her first full season and you could tell. She gleamed from bow to stern and had the most motivated crew I have ever witnessed. Now that is saying something because the Princess Cruises staff are generally of a high standard anyway. I like the cosmopolitan feel of the Princess ships. It’s a good international crowd which offers variety and colour. To me the most abiding memories of a cruise are...
