The entertainment was not nearly as good as the last time we were on the Serenade of the Seas 2 years previous. The

Great ship. Great food. Great entertainment. One grouse. When zumba or aquarobics are not taking place. why oh why does the music have to be so loud around the pool I love music but not at that volume. Take note RC. The staff on Windjammer restaraunt are not telling people to sanitise their hands At least 30 people walked through and nothing was said .That was just while I was having my lunch. When I approached...

Too expensive on Board
By Martin Leadbetter on 27 October 2014
Royal Caribbean International | Serenade of the Seas Reviews

The cruise was excellent in every respect, as indeed was the booking agency, Bolsover Cruise Club. However, literally EVERYTHING on board, and most importantly, drinks, was just far too expensive. I will not be using this cruise line again in the future. M Leadbetter.

Excellent.

This was one of the best cruises we have do so far and we have been cruising since 2007 taking in about 20 cruises mostly with Royal Caribbean. This 9 night cruise took in 7 different ports and we booked a Junior suite which was really large and very comfortable. The service we received was first class with no problems encountered. We have now reached the Diamond Plus status with the cruise line and this...

Great ship, excellent waiters Miguel and Maximo, First class entertainment. But! on the excursions to Rome and Florence, the coaches left a lot to be desired, from Rome the engine was overheating, and the coach and the Florence trip, some of the seats would not go back from reclining position and the roof was leaking onto one or two passengers. On such long trips from port this was poor value for money. The reason these...

MY PARTNER OF 18 MONTHS AND MYSELF HAVE JUST RETURNED HOME A CRUISE TO THE UAE. THIS WAS HER FIRST EXPERIENCE OF CRUISEING SO SHE WAS NERVOUS. I HAVE BEEN CRUISING FOR 16 YEARS, ANYWAY SERENADE WAS A LOVELY SHIP, VERY CLEAN AND THE STAFF WERE TOP RATED AS USUAL. WE WENT DURING THE EASTER HOLIDAYS AND THERE WAS ONLY A FEW KIDS. (GREAT!) I DID THE UAE BACK IN 2010 ON BRILLIANCE SO I...

Serenade of the Seas is a beautiful ship and the service was excellent. There was always an available sun bed and seats in the Windjammer. The cleanliness of all areas was spot on. The only slight criticism I would have was that children and teens were roaming the ship on their own throwing shoes and harassing non- English guests. (We had taken teens ourselves so I am not anti- children!!) security did not seem in...

Royal Caribbean International | Serenade of the Seas Reviews

We embarked on our fourth R C cruise 11/3/13 flying Emirates. Flights superb. Check in a doddle once in Dubai. Smallest ship so far, very impressed with the standards with regards to food, cleanliness and service. My time dining a must. Shows were good on the whole. Ports of call good with plenty to do. The onboard drinks are dear, but depends what your used to. A gin and tonic isn’t like a g and...

The policy seems to be to keep the basic cost low remove all the little luxuries of cruising and charge extortionate prices for drinks and try to sell you as much stuff as they can on board. Twice I had to sent items of cutlery and glass which not properly cleaned. Some of the ships staff seemed discontented. The restuarnet meals whilst were good were the same items each day served up in different recipes....

Royal Caribbean International | Serenade of the Seas Reviews

Found the shows on this ship by their own cast of very poor quality, there were only two which were excellent and these were from stars that had been brought in. With regard to the sightseeing tours although we found these very good, the only problems being in Oman where there were a lot of road works going on, we hadn’t been warned by the excursion staff and we were stuck in a traffic jam...

Royal Caribbean International | Serenade of the Seas Reviews

We have cruise with Royal Caribbean for a number of years so we have a wide view of different cruise ships. Our last cruise was on the Oasis of the Seas so to cruise on a much smaller ship was going to be a a bit different. Although we enjoyed the cruise we were very disappointed with the menu at dinner which was on offer each night (I believe it is about to change)The entertainment...

SUNNIER THAN THE UK!

Royal Caribbean International | Serenade of the Seas Reviews

First time on Royal Carribean having previously travelled with Princess, P & O and Celebrity. Ship was similar to other cruise lines, our cabin was very well soundproofed and comfortable. Staff in general were exceptional with the exception of some bar stewards who were unhelpful and lazy. Food was good but not fantastic, ports visited were good, Santorini was beautiful, one of the nicest places we ve been to. I was unfortunate to get the...
