Title: You can check out but you can never leave! Summary: Second long cruise on Ventura (35 nights). Just like last time, after a reasonable cruise, disembarcation was a nightmare. Get out of your cabin at 8 am then sit in the theater for 2 hours like naughty school kids. Not even music, everybody getting very frustrated and angry, then queue up to get into the second nightmare of the baggage hall. Absolute madness in there, more frustration and people who have had a very friendly 5 week...

Title: January Cruise Summary: Not too bad but enertainment left a lot to be desired (45 minutes of tap dancing ( 5 mins would have been long enough. Lots of people walked out!! Food was a good standard. Various little things are disapearing- too many to mention. Getting off the ship was a nightmare, an hour later that stated, usual fobbing off excuses.

Title: 35 day carribean Summary: Although the weather, islands, people helped to make this cruise the food in the buffet was the worst ive had in 40 cruises and 25+ years with P&O.The sad thing is the staff know its poor and dont know what to do.Twice i was informed we do the best we can with what were given.Poor quality and covered in sauce, batter, breadcrumbs etc.I’m afraid P&O’s determination to squeeze every pound of profit without thinking long term continues.I’ve already booked...

Title: Caribbean &South America 3January to 7 February 2020 Summary: The cruise was lovely,& food excellent.just a few things were wrong.Put a lot of people through stress of being told they had to have the yellow fever injection. Most of us had to get an exemption form but when it came too, wasn’t necessary to have the injection as nobody asked about the yellow fever injection once we had left Southampton .The inside cabin we were in was fine until docking or leaving the dock, because the thrusters...

Title: Ventura standards are falling. Summary: Ventura Cruise N001 – 35 nights – 3rd January 2020. Embarkation was very smooth and efficient. Overall a most enjoyable cruise visiting some wonderful places. Met new friends and saw many faces from previous cruises. Weather generally good, although trip back from Caribbean was more overcast. Staff and crew as usual were exceptional, looking after us very well. We really enjoy our cruising with P&O and look forward to future cruises booked, however, I would...

Title: New Years Cruise Summary: The ship was beautifully decorated inside, especially the atrium! The atmosphere was amazing on top deck for the “New Year’s Eve Party Ventura Style” …. from the countdown and watching the fireworks over Hamburg’s skyline to dancing the night away! I sailed alone with a two-year-old and could not thank the staff enough for their patience and help. The kid’s club was better than nursery back home offering a tv corner for movie night, a...

Title: Lovely cruise as ever Summary: Been on several of these short New Year cruises with P&O (and 20 plus cruises in total with them), they are a nice boost to the post Christmas blues. Embarkation seems to get swifter each time we go, we were on in 15 minutes and cabins ready with luggage waiting for us. Nice to see familiar staff faces and to be remembered. Excellent Dance Intructors made the evenings fun such that we only did one...

Title: New Years Cruise Summary: New Years cruise to Hamburg and Bruges. Overall we had a very enjoyable cruise. This was our 3rd time on Ventura and our 6th time on P and O. It was our 16th cruise and for the first time we had an inside cabin as it was only a 5 night cruise. The bed was very comfy and the room was good. We had Freedom Dining and never had to wait too long for a...

Title: New Year Cruise 29th December Summary: On the evening of sailing we were surprised to be told there was no service without explanation. There were no flannels in the bathroom We booked a three section trip around Hamburg which turned out to be a major disappontment. particularily the third section, the guide informed us that on New Years Eve all shops and cafes and public toilets close at 2pm. This left with nothing to do for over an hour except search...

Title: CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR ON VENTURA Summary: We have spent Christmas and New Year on P and O Cruises for the past 5 years and the food and crew members were, as always, outstanding especially Minguel our Cabin Steward (A326) who was always smiling and really friendly. This year, along with many other passengers, we noticed that many cuts have been made which meant that the Christmas wow factor was sadly lacking on board. The Christmas Day Meal, always a high point,...

Title: ok i suppose Summary: we booked through bolsover cruise club who were efficient but rushed which left us not quit understanding the savers ticket. we sailed from southampton for a 5 night break to hamburg and zeebrugge for the new year celebrations. southampton is very easy to board the ship and it was all very well organised. our cases were in our cabin before we got there. the ship was really nice with plenty of things going on if...

Title: Underwhelmed Summary: This was our first Christmas cruise although we have been on many P&O cruises (and a couple of Cunard) before. Nothing could be done about the bad weather, and it was clearly the right thing to do to make the unplanned call into La Coruna for the emergency medical disembarkation but the delays these caused and the missed call at Lazarotte didn’t help us enjoy ourselves. More importantly we thought the ship was getting very...

Title: It doesn’t get any worse than this – and read the last comment as a kicker to sum it all up Summary: To be honest I could write pages on this and would be more than happy to go into more detail if anyone wants more. Let’s start with positives- Glass House was excellent with a superb selection of wines, which was equalled in the dining room. Now the negatives – it is worth saying we had awful weather going down to the Canaries so the ship was like a washing machine for days. We accepted this...

Title: Discrimination on P&o Summary: Poor cruise on the whole. Outdated ship with many miserable staff who not seem to like the customers Worst of all P&O do not consider deafness to be a valid disability … no subtitles on their televisions at all We eventually got help from George … a really outstanding member of management staff who sorted out a dvd with many films with subtitles plus complimentary WIFI which we really appreciated The staff we had to...

Title: Trials on board prove dinning experiences need improvement Summary: Obvious reduction in staff in the Cinnamaon and Saffron restaurant’s caused several reports of meals lasting 2 and 3 hrs. Waiters where rushed off their feet and now have to take wine orders and on some occasions were expected to take other people to tables in a different area. Card room has been taken over by an arcade which 95% of time was empty. Only place to play was on outer edge of glass house....

Title: Service very poor but lovely ship Summary: Great ship, comfy beds, small balcony rooms, service absolutely terrible. Hardly any staff to help. At the restaurant saffron took over a hour both Friday and Saturday evening to just get a drink. In the 2.5 hours we were in the restaurant we got to order 1 drink. It was 1 waiter for 40 people. Ruined it for us.

Title: Good cruise shame about the weather Summary: A much improved ship on that of Azura. A lot of furnishings updated but chair in our cabin filthy. Food excellent. Only ate most metals in Saffron. Had meal in Epicurian, which was excellent. The lobster very acceptable. Also ate in The Glass House. Where quality was the best and well cooked and presented. Disembarcation was better. Weather could have been better but not able to control that. Entertainment good and on last night due...
