Title: Our recent cruise Summary: I must say Ventura is starting to look her age, tour cabin carpet was dirty and the general condition of stair ways and common areas were showing signs of the age of the vessel. The service and food remained to a high standard but when you are selling a premium product you would expect higher standards of the general fixtures and fittings.

Title: Another great P&O cruise Summary: Good itinerary inc. Rome/Naples/Sardinia, and whilst we are not anti-kids this was the first one outside the 2018 school summer holidays on Ventura. Usually, take a suite but prices were crazy, typically double what we normally pay, and P&O were still offering a suite at the top price on the morning we sailed. Opted for E730 Superior Deluxe and it was great with the big end/corner balcony, and none of the horror stories about noise...

Title: Western Mediterranean Cruise Summary: First-time cruiser! Cabin excellent, as was the food and service. Entertainment was very good, in the main. Crew very professional, friendly and helpful. Enjoyed all of the countries and cities that we visited, although Monte Carlo appeared to be very busy, even though Ventura was the only cruise liner there at the time. Freedom dining was a good choice for us. The three formal nights gave us the excuse to dress up. Thoroughly enjoyed the...

Title: Iberia Cruise Summary: This was the second time we had been on the Ventura and everything was as good as ever. The food, service and entertainment were all first class and we are looking to book again for 2019. All the staff were very professional and welcoming.

Title: Spain and Portugal 7 day cruise Summary: Whilst most things on the cruise were exceptionally good – the organisation of embarkation and disembarkation, the service from all staff, the food, the cabin quality and the shows, there were elements that did not meet our expectations. Deck 15 around the two pools and bar area was a no-go area for us as a mature couple and I likened it to Benidorm as it was loud with music, had lots of children and families...

Title: Great cruise on board the lovely Ventura Summary: We have sailed on Ventura before and were pleased to find that since her recent refit she is looking even better with new carpets throughout. The service in bars and restaurants was very good, our cabin steward ‘Joseph’ was excellent and kept our cabin immaculate and the ice bucket full. There were so many hardworking crew on board all of whom delivered service with a smile. The Epicurean restaurant food was amazing and the service...

Title: Ventura cruise Summary: I was on a Med cruise from 26 August to 2 September on P&O Ventura for my birthday. There was 14 of us. It was amazing. Joe Mcelderry was one of the entertainers on the ship in the Arena. We had front row seats and he sang Valerie to me and kissed my hand. He was awesome. That was one of my best birthday presents.

Title: Brilliant Summary: This was a family cruise and, as a solo traveller, it was a different experience from travelling on an adults only cruise. That said, the Ventura is big enough to cater for everyone and I can’t recommend it highly enough. My cabin was comfortable, kept pristine by my lovely steward. The food was excellent, both at the buffet and restaurant. Everywhere, the crew and staff were attentive and helpful without being pushy. Entertainment was excellent...

Title: Good Cruise Summary: We had not been on Ventura for a few years and wondered how it would be for the family. It was really good being like Aurora but a bit bigger with the sliding roof in the middle and a children’s club bigger and better for our granddaughter. An excellent holiday.

Title: Ventura in our way Summary: The cruise was excellent. Ventura is a very confusing ship with a somewhat design problem. There was an ongoing problems with the lifts being out of order. The Havana theatre was no doubt designed by a ‘ dyslexic parrot, the barriers dividing different areas should not be there. It was an insult to the performers to give of their utmost on such a small stage. The contrast with the main Arena theatre could not be more...

Title: Failure of show Summary: Perfect cruise, shame that the show ‘Astonishing’ had to be cancelled. The service by the staff was excellent. Good food and entertainment. The cabin steward made us feel at home and carried his duties to the highest standards.

Title: Mini cruise Summary: Had a great time on Ventura to Guernsey on a weekend cruise with some friends. The cabin was comfortable and clean. Food was as always excellent with plenty of choices. Had one full day in Guernsey, which was beautiful, the weather was good, only wish we had longer there. All in all a lovely weekend break. Good entertainment on board Ventura. Always easy to keep occupied. Would recommend a mini cruise.

Title: Too much waiting Summary: Ship, food and entertainment all 100%. Cabins and steward 1st class. The downside was the two and half hours waiting to board the ship then a rushed safety drill if I have not cruised before the experience boarding the ship would make me think twice.

Title: Canaries Cruise Summary: We have cruised with Royal Caribbean once before and I must be honest and say on all points our experience on the Freedom of the Seas was a level up from this cruise. However, I would go with P&O and this ship again. Check in was effortless, service brilliant, food very good and relaxation sublime. Been toward the aft we did get some noise and for some inexplicable reason, our cabin ceiling had an annoying...

Title: Family cruise to the Canaries party of 9 Summary: Overall an excellent cruise. From recent P and O cruises, the food quality was excellent and improved almost par with our earlier cruises when the quality was better so a thumbs up for this. As normal service excellent and our waiter Vinod was brilliant with our 2 year olds. The only downside our daughter and family with 2 youngsters had an obscure view cabin which was ok but on deck 8 just above the Tamarind...

Title: P&O’s VENTURA, a family friendly ship with SMOKING PROMOTED Summary: As a minor P&O shareholder I was very concerned that on this ship, designated FAMILY FRIENDLY, with some 600 children on board, 50% of the promenade deck was allocated to SMOKERS. FURTHERMORE, tobacco products were heavily promoted with discounts for multiple buys, as well as being on open display both in a shop and in the atrium. To cap it all, the ship’s team were extensively highlighting TEENAGE CANCER AWARENESS. VENTURA proudly displays the Union...

Title: 2 day cruise Summary: Thank you to Bolsover Cruise Club for booking me this cruise Guernsey. It was just a pity we could not get off the ship because the sea swell was too much. Instead, we sailed around the channel so we still had a good time meeting new friends. It was good we enjoyed it.

Title: Excellent ship Summary: I have cruised many times over the past 30 years and up until this one with my husband. Now being a widow I asked my daughter to join me, it was her first cruise. Ventura was exceptional on all fronts – staff most friendly, food wonderful, entertainment all excellent. I can honestly say it was the best ship I have cruised on. I wondered if I would enjoy such a large ship as I have...

Title: 7 night cruise from Southampton Summary: We have recently returned from a 7 night cruise on Ventura, from Southampton to Guernsey, Spain and Portugal. We travelled with our daughter and our two grandchildren. Ventura is a ship that we have used several times before as a family. A well run, clean and tidy ship with excellent staff and good food. I booked two balcony cabins, our daughter’s was allocated on deck 12, and ours, an upgrade we were told, was on...

Title: A little disappointed Summary: Having been on the Azura last year we couldn’t wait to go on the sister ship . The ease of embarking was great. The cabins ,staff, food, entertainment also great. But we noticed a few small difference’s to Azura. 1) The ship was heaving 2) The Buffet was delicious but it is just like a cattle market trying to use it, a one way around the buffet would help. 3) The quality of the coffee...
