We booked our 2018 Christmas cruise on Queen Elizabeth after having a fabulous 2017 Christmas cruise on Queen Victoria.
It’s so different considering both ships are Cunard. We had a lot of onboard spending money as we had put £100 down payment before leaving Queen Victoria a year ago, I absolutely loved the shops on Queen Victoria and was looking forward to spending all this money in the shops this Christmas on Queen Elizabeth. Well what a let down the shops are, very disappointing, very sparse, very few clothes and those that were on sale I would not wear to a funeral, 3 winter coats, the shops were empty = who is buying these awful items there were very few guests in the shops. We really struggled to spend our onboard money. There is only so much you can drink. Queen Elizabeth lacks the lovely friendliness that Queen Victoria has, the atmosphere is so different. Very, very disappointing Christmas Eve at the port Fuerteventura after a long walk to the end of the Pier nothing there. Took a hop on hop off small bus trip around the island. Well there was absolutely nothing to see so barren why would Cunard want to bring a cruise ship here surely they research where they are taking the ship with all these passengers who have paid a lot of money for this cruise such a disappointing Christmas Eve, we definitely won’t be going on Queen Elizabeth ever again.
