Darwin is the capital of Australia’s Northern Territory and a former frontier outpost. It’s also a gateway to massive Kakadu National Park. Its popular waterfront area has several beaches and green areas like Bicentennial Park. Also near the water is the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, displaying Southeast Asian and Pacific art, plus a pearling lugger and other seafaring vessels.

Koolama Bay is a bay in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. It was formerly known as Rulhieres Bay prior to the Koolama being beached at the location after a Japanese air attack in 1942. The King George River flows into the bay.

Bigge Island is an island off the coast of the Kimberley region in Western Australia, within the Shire of Wyndham-East Kimberley. The island lies approximately 6 kilometres from the mainland, from which it is separated by Scott Strait

Prince Frederick Harbour lies at the southern end of the York Sound, in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, opening into the Indian Ocean. The Hunter and the Roe Rivers both discharge directly into the harbour. The area was surveyed in 1820 by Philip Parker King aboard Mermaid.

The Hunter River is a river in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. The headwaters of the river rise below Donkins Hill. The river flows in a south-westerly direction until it discharges into Prince Frederick Harbour then York Sound and the Indian Ocean.
