San Juan del Sur is the latest cruise port attraction in Nicaragua and has certainly arrived in style to the cruising calendar. The beaches here are simply stunning and certainly make for the ideal place to spend the day laying back and enjoying the glistening sunshine. The beaches stretch out for over 2 miles here therefore allowing for peace and quiet amongst a blissful serene ambience. Swimmers and snorkelling enthusiasts will love the crystal clear waters and chance to take in an abundance of exotic marine life whilst those who prefer to stay out of the water can enjoy the view from one of the superb cafes lining the seafront.
Should you prefer to be more adventurous then head for the mountain regions and take in the captivating views over the forests before sampling local lifestyle and discovering the beauty of this laid back destinations. The port of call lies on the Pacific coast of Nicaragua and sits extremely close to the boarder of Costa Rica, in fact there is only 15 miles that separate the two from this point.
