    Azura Better than expected.

Yes - we certainly are and have booked for Iceland next year already :-)

    Azura Better than expected.

Home!! Happy to report that the Azura was in fine fettle and the crew were all brilliant. Have booked again for Iceland 8/20 so will be looking for advice on best excursions to see most interesting areas and sights. Only a couple of niggles, wifi was dire but better out of the cabin. One tour guide ruined the trip by wittering endlessly about boring rubbish. Off on Aurora next time. Thanks to all for your encouragement and thoughts x

    Azura Better than expected.

Thank you! I didn't know what a seascreen was - thinking it was a cover over when raining!! We are not pool people although would be nice to watch a movie one or two evenings - is that the same screen? Also what was the reason you thought it was the wrong ship for the ports? The size? Many thanks.

    Azura Better than expected.

Thank you Pies - I had seen your post above which had already given me hope!! Like you, this is our first break in a year and much needed. Realistically, it is a floating hotel and with a multitude of guests with access all over, not just their bit of corridor and dining area - it is bound to get worn more than a normal hotel, so that is not the end of the world. We are also naturally friendly and smiley people (!) and will be more excited and grateful for a rest rather than looking for faults. As long as it is clean and convivial and the food is good - I think we will have a great time 🙂 I will report back afterwards!!!

    Azura Better than expected.

I was coming on here to ask about the Azura and saw this topic! It is our first cruise ever in May, to the Fjords. Have been so looking forward to it but then have been reading mixed reviews on Google.............some loved it and others hated it. Some loved food and others didn't; likewise with entertainment and staff - even the towels were called old and dry. Needs a refurb NOW to being the perfect ship.Having saved up all year for this, I came on here to find out more opinions - and they are also mixed!! I have to admit that it has taken the shine off the whole thing for us. Can anyone reassure me? Thanks.
  8. I have had an email advertising and suggesting to buy. I was going to use my on board spending money to pay for a bottle of wine every night over the meal. I had thought that tea, coffee and bottled water may be free. We are not huge drinkers but being on holiday may opt to have the odd drink during the day that we wouldn't normally do. In people's opinion - is the Ultimate Package worth having? Adds £80 a day to our holiday spending. Does it mean that you can pick up several bottles of water during the day (where from??) and can you take these onshore when you go on an excursion, to at least save spending money on shore? Thanks.
  9. Hi, have my first cruise on P & O Azura, or indeed anywhere! - in May. I have been told that we have £180 spending money on board between my husband and me. I have looked at the price of wine as we like to share a bottle in the evening over our meal and the price at present seems to be £18. What I would like to know is - can we charge this excess on the evening meal against that £180? I have no idea how it works. Many thanks.

    On Board Spending Money

    Very helpful, thank you.
  11. Hi again - inane question/s but first cruise and no one else to ask. I have just booked 4 excursions - the Fjords....................... Does everyone go on excursions? What happens when the excursions return - are you dropped at the ship? Or the port? Is it usually far to walk from ship to port towns etc? If you get back to the ship in the afternoons - do things like line dancing and other activities take place often??? Do you just walk in or book? I have no idea at all. There is plenty to do before evening meal? Thanks
