First time on Queen Mary 2

The QM2 was the largest cruise ship in the world when it was launched in 2004. The ballroom is not up forward but is at the rear and it is quite large. Cunard claim it is the largest ballroom at sea and I have no reason to dispute this. Brian

BRAND NEW Celebrity Edge in Europe for 2019

Leave your car at home and do a one way car rental which also saves on parking charges. Enterprise have a depot just outside gate 8, which is about 150 yards from City terminal. Brian

    Amsterdam

The Amsterdam cruise terminal is right in the centre, about a 10-15 min walk to the main railway station. Brian
  9. That is correct for P&O, Cunard and Princess who charge 1.5%. However, I booked a cruise last year through Bolsover with Celebrity on a credit card and there was no charge as Celebrity do not charge. Brian
  10. From the BBC website http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-40648641 So for a bill of £3000 will cost the TA £18 with a credit card or 10p with a debit card. It's not difficult to see why they do not like accepting credit cards. Brian
  11. Don't worry about the night nursery. They give you a pager so they can contact you if your child does not settle. Or you can pop your head round the door from time to time to see they are ok. Brian
  12. A children's tea is served around 5pm in the buffet with a child friendly menu. https://ask.pocruises.com/help/PO/life-on-board/Children_fed?_ga=2.170217312.1344001215.1498042029-528053723.1454188514 There is a night nursery for under fives and the kids club is open in the evening for the older ones. https://ask.pocruises.com/help/PO/life-on-board/childrens_club Brian
  13. Normally you register your credit card when you check in or with some cruise lines on line before your leave home. I am surprised they let you run up a debt without a card or a cash deposit. Most hotels operate the same way. Brian
