I am booked on the same cruise and cannot stand the programme but it doesn't bother me as its not as if everyone will be wearing sequins and feathers (apart from me obviously)
My partner and I booked this at launch with Bolsover but were informed of the change by them via email on the 01 August 2017 and my parents received their notification in the post so it definitely happened.
Maybe you should investigate more before pointing the finger at your agent, could have been lost in the post or stopped by your spam filter.
Seeing as its your one and only post I guess we wont see you again after your little moan but embrace it and dust off the lycra

Went on Britannia. We  will not be going back on her however as missed the promenade deck too much.

I will say what I have just said on another thread on this forum.  Most of us agree that it should be included in the fare but 95% of mainstream cruise lines operate the same or similar systems.  We all have a choice with P&O - pay the suggested tips in the suggested way, remove them and do your own thing, stop cruising.  The constant whingeing by so many pax is now getting very boring.  You have a choice folks .

Not an option for me, 20 mins in the sun and I turn violent red, could pay the fee and then sublet,

i have been comparing a p&o and a royal caribbean cruise for the baltic this june, p&o are coming up over £1900 each for a balcony cabin with a bit of on board credit, for the same itinerary royal caribbean was £1700 per person with drinks, free gratuities and including by one get one free discount. certainly not pricing themselves out of the market.

ooh this is very new, i havent done p&o in the last year, i would definately be putting them out of the way in the wardrobe though! i dont think p&o will stop you bringing your own on board as there are no companies out there that do this, even ones that do drinks packages. I have never seen the need for a drinks package on p&o as the prices have always been reasonable, we got a shock when we went on royal caribbean, definately needed a drinks package with them!

Hi all, shorthaul we use Jet2, they are usually on time and their seats do NOT recline and come with 22kg allowance.  we try to use British Airways as a first choice for long haul  and if we can use Avios we do, however if not possible then for the Far East it would be first choice Etihad and then Emirates.
We did like Monarch for short haul but sadly no more. will never touch Ryanair.

Off on Fred again tomorrow on Balmoral - our first time on her, and she is due in for a refit when we return (Braemar is currently undergoing a refit).  We love Fred they offer a really enjoyable cruising experience and River Song really paints a true picture.

i see both sides, but i think as cruises are percieved of and advertised as a 'luxury' product, even though you get variations to the standard of 'luxury' that you get, i dont think a cruise and an all inclusive land hotel are comparable due to the perceptions people have of the two.
i also think you get a hell of a lot more on a cruise than you do an all inclusive hotel, its not just about the food, you get more destinations, better entertainment, more choices included in the price, more dedicated staff (i could tell you about my cabin stweard from my last cruise but not my maid from my last hotel) a competely different experience just being at sea, in my opinion its worth paying that extra just for that indescriabable feeling of being at sea, looking out and seeing nothing between you and the horizon you dont get that in a hotel and thats why i would lean more toward the 2 not being comparable.

it does cleary say 'personalised' slogans on the p&o website so i think people are deliberately mis understanding

During the day it is the usual casual wear with Christmas T-Shirts and Jumpers a plenty  but formal at Dinner time is the norm the same for News Years Eve but you can change to informal after dinner for the deck party but not many do.
    Have a great time
