  1. Yes, 3 x cruises and off to the Baltics next week on Celebrity Eclipse. Previous cruises on Reflection and Equinox, all in Aqua Class. Yes, it is worth the extra, the cabins have extra amenities (Dressing gowns, slippers, toiletries for aqua only), with daily fresh fruit, herbal infused tea freshly delivered each day, canapés on formal nights, hydro shower, access to the Persian Gardens for sauna, steam rooms, hot beds etc., access to Blu restaurant (Select dining venue with a lighter cuisine, and more choice) for Breakfast (Table side Muesli is to die for) and Dinner with great full window views for those at sea sunsets and morning sail ins. Another little unknown area for Aqua guests is the relaxation lounge on the same deck as Aqua suites, with a full panoramic view on soft double loungers forward. Great for sail-aways (Montenegro was amazing just laid on these beds). Priority embarkation and disembarkation (WE can get onboard next Sunday at 10.30am in Southampton). There are 2 levels A1 and A2 depending on ship position. Some suites do have shaded balconies, but some also have extended large balconies (Pick your cabin carefully). Add in (Upgrade form classic package) the premium beverage package (£9.00 per day extra per passenger) and the wine waiters keep your glass topped up, and can easily have different wines for each course, and speciality coffees. Also gives you all of the martini bar cocktails and premium brand gins, vodkas, liquors etc. A real extravagant treat on port days or sea days (more expensive) is the hire of a Cabana (Not available on all Celebrity ships) for the entire day, really spoilt with your own waiter for drinks, snacks, shade up or down, total chill all day.
  2. It's a pity that P&O don't respect loyalty, I have been cruising since 1993 and have taken over45 cruises with P&O and Princess (th majority on P&O). 

    Princess give me "Elite" status on their loyalty program because they count all the cruises taken with their sister company but P&O don't so we have to languish on a lower tier.

    I THOUGHT THE IDEA OF LOYALTY PROGRAMES WHERE SUPPOSED TO REWARD PAST CUSTOMERS BUT P&O JUST DO THE OPPOSITE.

    COME ON P&O - WAKE UP!

      Yes, we agree and are returning to Princess who reward loyalty.

      We made this discovery five years a go and very quickly found that Princess did value customers and provided a far superior cruise EXPERIENCE. P&O have still not woken up and just do not seem to realise just how much damage they are inflicting on their brand.When they do wake up it will very probably be too late.

  3. Pleasant surprise whilst booking first Princess cruise (Bolsover), registering as a member which gave us instant gold status. Now received booking reference, and now states platinum status, so must have acknowledged all of our previous P&O cruises. Great, now get 150 mins free wi-fi.
  4. Great idea, but be careful and read the small print. Our $500.00 on board spend is variable on a daily basis according to exchange rates. Currently worth around £374.00. So save it for onboard where it will be worth the full $500.00, until you spend it all, then if you spend more than your credit, the overspend will then convert to U.K. Pound. Another tip, book your next cruise whilst onboard. We got $500.00, free wifi, classic drinks package, and $300 for the cruise we were on. Will use our onboard spend to upgrade to premium and Murano (Excellent speciality restaurant) on our Baltic cruise this summer on Eclipse. Previous ships Reflection and Equinox (Aqua class). Also sailed with Cunard, P&O, and RCI.
