The Road To Salem

5 posts in this topic

Does it pay to have your camera handy?

On my recent cruise on Queen Mary 2 I booked a ship's excursion for our visit to Boston. The excursion was to Salem, famous for its witch trials and tea trading...

I was hoping to find it interesting and, as luck would have it,  I secured a front seat on the coach. (Trained by Saga wink.png )

About two thirds into the journey I would guess the witches knew I was coming.

Racing out from a link road on our right hand side screamed a car with its boot lid (Trunk to those Americans) and off side passenger door wide open.

Camera roll...

Previously on the journey our guide had been explaining that she had been reluctant to mention Boston's history for fear of offending us Brits - they think we lost the States over Boston.

Following the car incident I politely reminded her that actually we gave it away for the very reason we had just witnessed.

Or maybe the driver was rehearsing for the next movie in the 'Death Wish' series.
