Return to Britannia

1 post in this topic

We experienced a trip to Norway last year, and were impressed enough to want to get back on board again, so we embarked southampton earlier this month. Our voyage was to take us  to spain, portugal, france, and guernsey. Speed of boardng was our first surprise, considering the number of passengers, and the cabin was  generously sized with masses of hanging space.  We chose freedom dining, which worked well as we dined early, and the food was excellent. The self-serve buffet provided a nice contrast, for both breakfast and dinner. The ports of call were interesting-Vigo,Lisbon,la Rochelle, and the passage(twice) across the notorious bay of biscay was  like a millpond. Sadly we missed guernsey, due to cross-winds. We have never been fans of large ships, but Britannia now tops our list of P&O favourites.
