Cruise Club?

Recommended Posts

I'm new to this forum. Cruised quite a lot, mostly P&O. I'm not sure I understand what I get from Bolsover that I can't do myself online. There's no financial advantage anymore is there? It's not particularly personal and I don't feel in anyway personally taken care of. Am I missing something?

Smethy, You are certainly missing something,When I ring Bolsover they always call me by name(computers don't)I can alway's talk to a person (computer's don't talk) Bolsover do all the work for you, and have never made a mistake with the 8 booking's I have made. just my opinion ;)

Whilst I partly understand your point Smethy, I always like the reassurance of an agent or cruise line.  I do all my own homework and make the decision myself over what I'm looking for, I find that works best for me, only then, when I'm ready will I ring an agent.  I do this because researching at home and doing this part myself gives me the time and freedom to relax and enjoy looking for a holiday.  After that and the time comes to book, I do it through an agent because of the help and assistance they provide.  I like the customer service side of it and knowing that it's all being taken care of by people I trutst.

I have used Bolsover before, several times and have always found them excellent.  I have had issues with changes that needed to be made to bookings and they have taken care of this for me within minutes, issues that if I had booked online, would have been much harder to resolve.

Personally I highly value the increase in the options and accessibility of the internet for cruising, it helps me narrow down what I'm looking for but I'll always finish the booking off with an agent.

I agree Sammy Sun and feel most of us will agree its nice to do our own research on line but finish the booking off with the backing of a trusted ABTA agent like Bolsover !

For me it never just been about the discounts.  I like the security of booking with a specialist like Bolsover & service has always been excellent.  To many personial services have been lost in past years by trying to DIY on the internet. For me it is why book direct?

Keep somebody in a job...that's what you get from using an agent....same as not using a self serve counter I a supermarket and using a milkman ...( if you have one...Milkand More In most areas now)

We can boom online...but loom how many jobs computers have replaced?

So while I can I will continue to use Bolsover ...

You certainly don't sound too confident, I noticed two question marks.

I agree. Booking with an agent gives me the confidence that I want when booking a cruise. I like the fact that I am speaking to someone that has the experiece and the knowledge of cruising. It's part of the whole booking experience.

I have always booked with Bolsover as they give good customer service and are very honest it they feel the holiday I have chosen is not suitable for me and give me recommendations to what is. If I book on the internet I dont get this service.

We have used other agents and booked direct but always migrate back to Bolsover, they are always helpful and friendly and if you ever get the chance to visit them personally at Barlborough they are very welcoming. I only live a mile away but still ring them to book but call in to pay (the painful bit). :D
