truckermart 1 Report post Posted October 1, 2018 Hi we are doing a Transatlantic from Fort Lauderdale to Southampton and needed to know a reliable ,efficient taxi/private hire to take us to Heathrow to collect the car once we arrive back into Southampton. DavidH 547 Report post Posted October 1, 2018 Hi truckermart, Can't help you with a specific recommendation as we are based in the Midlands but you may wish to check out Holiday Extras website (www.holidayextras.co.uk). From research I've been doing this evening for a trip next year you can get quotes for taxi transfers in different types of vehicle (e.g. standard saloon, estate car, executive car). When the first page comes up, just scroll down to the bottom and, under the heading "Getting to the Airport", click on "Airport Taxi". You will then be able to enter the destination airport and the pick up address, date and time to obtain quotes. Might at least give you some measure of cost.
