Saga Cruises Reveals New Details on ‘Spirit of Discovery’

Saga Cruises has released new artist’s impressions of ‘Spirit of Discovery’, its first bespoke-built vessel to debut in Summer 2019 from the UK.  The luxury, boutique small ship will carry fewer than 1,000 passengers and will feature design cues from London’s finest hotels and restaurants, redefining standards in British cruising. New build director David Pickett says, “We’re really pleased to reveal these artist impressions of our new ship. We’ve spent a huge amount of time reviewing and taking inspiration from the best in contemporary British architecture and design. NCL Celebrates Keel Laying For Norwegian Bliss

Norwegian Cruise Line and Meyer Werft celebrated the keel laying of Norwegian Bliss in Papenburg, Germany. Due for delivery in April 2018, Norwegian Bliss will be the first cruise ship custom built for the ultimate Alaska cruise experience. During the ceremony, one of the keel blocks of the 167,800 gross ton vessel was lifted into the covered building hall, signifying a major milestone in the ship’s construction. Two exclusive Cirque du Soleil at Sea shows that will be performed on board MSC Meraviglia, when she comes into service on June 4. The cruise lines long-term partnership with Cirque du Soleil will create a total of eight original shows that will be exclusively available on MSC Cruises’ Meraviglia generation ships, coming into service between June and autumn 2020. Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has announced the launch of its first river cruise programme with sailings in Europe from 2018. The programme will go on sale from 26th May 2017 and will operate from April to November next year.
