Louis de Bernières, the bestselling author of Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, is the latest to join the list of authors and literary experts on Cunard’s first Literature Festival at Sea.
The event is being run in partnership with the Cheltenham Literature Festival and The Times/Sunday Times and you can join some of the best-loved authors and literary experts as you sail from New York to Southampton aboard Queen Mary 2 on a Transatlantic Crossing on 10 November 2019.
Cunard’s Literature Festival at Sea line-up also includes:
- Robert Harris
- Mark Billingham
- Damian Barr
- Ben Macintyre
Other novelists confirmed for the transatlantic crossing include Sebastian Faulks and Victoria Hislop, journalist and broadcaster James Naughtie, US political satirist P.J. O’Rourke and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Elizabeth Strout.
Onboard events highlights:
- A series of workshops with best-selling writers and experienced journalists. In these workshops, you can discover how to research your novel, practise your calligraphy, brush up on your public speaking or even write your memoir.
- Special series of film screenings celebrating some of the finest book to film adaptations, with introductions by knowledgeable critics.
