In this week’s episode of the popular TV series ‘Cruising with Jane McDonald’, Jane McDonald heads to South America on the ultra-luxury Silversea Cruises’ Silver Muse.
The third episode will air at 9 pm on Channel 5 this Friday, 22 June.
In the first of a two-part show, Jane starts her journey in Valparaiso, Chile (famous for its street art), before making her way around the bottom of South America to the southernmost Chilean town of Punta Arenas in Patagonia.
During her time on board, Jane visits the glacier on Laguna San Rafael and takes part in the customary drinking of whisky on ice.
Silver Muse then heads to the Falkland Islands, where Jane takes time to talk to some war veterans in the local pub.
To end the first half of her cruise, Jane learns how to dance the Tango in Argentina.
Peter Shanks, Silversea’s UK Managing Director, said: “Cruising with Jane McDonald is really watchable television. She has a natural and down to earth way of bringing a travel experience to life — and rightly the first travel programme to be awarded a BAFTA.
“I have seen our two Silversea South America episodes — and there are scenes that made me want to book a holiday right there and then!”
