For the first time in more than 20 years, Cunard will be setting sailing on a series of Alaska cruises in May and June 2019 as part of its Oceans of Discovery programme.
Although the cruise line has visited Alaska before, this will be the first time any of Cunard’s current ships have called in Alaska.
As the youngest Queen at sea, Queen Elizabeth will be sailing the all-new Alaska itineraries. Here grace and Art Deco design have won her many accolades and in November 2018 Queen Elizabeth will benefit from a refit liek her sister ships Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria.
Standing on the open deck the Garden Lounge – a large conservatory, based on the famous hothouses of Kew Gardens –you’ll you’ll appreciate the vastness of the landscapes in these icy northern reaches, where the sun barely sinks from sight in the summer months. You’ll pass turquoise-hued glaciers and sail into the beautiful fjords that ancient glaciers have left behind.
Welcome To Alaska
One of Cunard’s newly announced Alaska voyages includes a 27-night cruise from Yokohama, Japan, to Vancouver, Canada, featuring ports of call in Sitka, Anchorage, Juneau, Skagway, Icy Strait Point and Ketchikan.
