P&O Cruises Announce Oriana Refit Details
P&O Cruises has announced the news that Oriana will receive a refurbishment in Hamburg this November. Oriana has won many admirers over the years and clocked up countless nautical miles under the P&O Cruises banner. With her teak promenade and lido decks, tiered stern and wonderful classic features, Oriana is the very definition of cruising elegance and tradition.
The cruise line has revealed that Oriana will travel to Hamburg in November where she will undergo a thorough refit to “improve the overall experience for guests”. P&O Cruises claim to have listened to the feedback of their passengers and have taken the decision to collaborate with leading cruise-industry architects Richmond on a refit programme that will encompass updates to the cabins, suites, entertainment areas, restaurants, bars and public areas. The comprehensive refit will bring Oriana up to the high standards that the P&O Cruises hold across their entire fleet.
Oriana’s most distinctive features will be retained but guests can look forward to fresh luxurious materials, soft furnishings and carpets, upgrades to furniture, improved lighting and rich colour schemes to create ultimate comfort and relaxation.
Britain’s most loved cruise line has acknowledged the understanding that Oriana holds a special place in the hearts of many of her guests. The overall aim of the refit is to spruce Oriana up while staying true to the integrity of the special ship that she is.
Oriana will be going into refit in Hamburg on 25 November, after she returns from her USA & Caribbean cruise. Bolsover Cruise Club will keep all passengers apprised of the latest information as it is revealed.
The Peninsular & Oriental Restaurants
The Peninsular and Oriental Restaurants are Oriana’s elegant main dining rooms, welcoming hundreds of guests each night and offering superlative dining surrounded by graceful décor and magnificent ocean views.
In order to refresh the areas, P&O Cruises will be replacing the carpets and curtains, upgrading the lighting and changing the colour schemes in both restaurants. This rejuvenation will ensure that you can continue to dine in elegance and style for years to come.
P&O Cruises know that the place you rest your head while on holiday is one of the most important aspects of a relaxing break. Your cabin should be where you look forward to heading to at the end of the day, and a space for some much-needed time out during busy holiday activities.
To that end, the cruise line has announced plans to replace all soft furnishings with more modern and elegant designs, while furniture will be repaired to a high standard or replaced. Bathrooms and toilets will undergo repairs and upgrades to bring them up to the standard that P&O guests deserve, and maintenance work on balconies will ensure that you see the sunset in style and comfort.
