Silversea Cruises has revealed a revised collection of 157 new expedition voyages throughout 2021-22, including the first-ever world expedition cruise.
Set to depart between January 2021 and July 2022, the new itineraries see the cruise line’s four expedition ships make 12 maiden calls.
Among the new sailings are 68 new voyages to the Galapagos Islands on new ship Silver Origin, an epic 51-port Arctic grand voyage and a Deep Antarctica expedition described as ‘unprecedented’, in which Silver Explorer will attempt to reach 69 degrees south. Silver Explorer will also visit Australia’s remote Kimberley Coast on a series of longer voyages.
The 167-day Unchartered World Tour will set sail on 25 January 2022, with Silver Cloud visiting 107 destinations in 20 countries. 70 experts and 20 guest speakers will join passengers on the cruise.
Conrad Combrink, Silversea Cruises’ expeditions, turnaround operations and destination management senior vice-president, said: “Highlighted by the launch of our new ship Silver Origin, which will be the most elegant ship to welcome guests in the Galapagos Islands, our new itineraries push boundaries and underpin our leadership in the ultra-luxury and expedition travel segments.”
