Latest Cunard Line News
In May of this year, we brought you the news that Cunard Line’s Queen Elizabeth was heading for the Blohm & Voss Shipyard in Hamburg to undergo her first scheduled dry-dock spell since she entered service in 2010. Queen Elizabeth has since emerged looking better than ever following a multi-million pound refurbishment plan that saw changes take place to public spaces, restaurant facilities and perhaps, most notably so, accommodation. The Cunard Queen received the addition of single staterooms for the very first time. The decision to include single accommodation came in response to passenger feedback. There was a considerable demand for such staterooms to be installed and the cruise line responded. A total of nine new staterooms have been added to Queen Elizabeth including eight Ocean View staterooms and one Inside Stateroom, with the space for the accommodation being made from the re-modelling of the ships casino. All of the single accommodation is located together in the midships area of deck 2.
