P&O Cruises announces exciting new partnership with Salcombe Gin

P&O Cruises are collaborating with the experts at Salcombe Gin to create a unique gin for the cruise line.

Exclusive gins on board Iona

The gins maiden distillation will take place in Iona’s custom-made gin still on board – the first distillery to exist at sea. The gin will be produced, bottled and labelled on Iona and P&O Cruises will be adding the final flourish by choosing the name.

Bottles of the exclusive gin that have been distilled on Iona will be available to purchase onboard.

Gin Masterclasses in Anderson’s

Salcombe Gin will be bringing their masterclass expertise to Iona. There will be two different classes on offer that you won’t want to miss:

• In one of the classes, a gin expert will reveal the secrets to distilling a deliciously smooth and well-balanced gin, complete with a tasting session
• The second class is a smaller, more intimate gathering where you can create your own gin recipe – watch the blend come to life and savour a taste of the final masterpiece.

Following the gin’s launch on Iona, Salcombe Distilling Co. will distil our recipe in their striking 450-litre copper still ‘Provident’ in Salcombe, ready to share and serve across our fleet. You won’t find this extraordinary gin anywhere else.  P&O Cruises will also be working with Salcombe Gin to develop exclusive gin that celebrates the regions visited on a P&O Cruises holiday.
