All Aboard: The Cruise – Fun-Loving Brits at Sea Sets Sail on Channel 5

Get ready to set sail from your sofa – The Cruise: Fun-Loving Brits at Sea is back on screen with Ambassador Cruise Line, and it promises all the laughter, adventure and warm sea-breezed friendships you could ask for. Produced in collaboration with Title Role Productions, the show returns with 20 brand new episodes following real people – holiday-makers, friends, couples, families – as they try their first time (or first time in a while) cruising aboard Ambassador’s two ships, Ambience and Ambition.

What to Expect

This series welcomes a group of adventurous Brits as they set sail to make memories together.

From Blackburn, married couple Glenys and Ian are seasoned travellers who dive headfirst into life onboard – from spa sessions to dance classes – and when the ship docks, they’re first in line for new adventures, whether that’s a pottery workshop or a wine tasting.

Best friends Kerri-Ann and Julie from Worthing are celebrating a milestone together, using their holiday to strengthen their bond while indulging in plenty of treats along the way.

First-time cruisers Graham and Lewis, a father-and-son duo from Hull, embrace every moment with enthusiasm, eager to discover what cruising has to offer.

Meanwhile, long-term couple Bernie and Clive from Preston throw themselves into the voyage with gusto. Clive has also planned a heart-warming surprise for his wife – but how will it be received? Across the season, Ambassador’s ships Ambience and Ambition sail from the UK to a string of stunning European destinations, including Lorient and Le Verdon in France, Porto in Portugal, and Cádiz in Spain.

When & Where

The series premieres on Monday 29 September 2025, airing weekdays from 4:00-5:00pm on Channel 5. All episodes will also be available to stream on My5.

What to Look Forward To

If you’re a fan of travel TV, or you’ve ever wondered if a cruise could be for you, this series is likely to deliver. Whether you love food, culture, history, adventure – or just watching people get out of their comfort zones – there’s something in this for everyone. And for Ambassador, this is a chance to show what their brand promise “warmest welcome at sea” really looks like. So mark the date: 29 September, 4pm weekdays on Channel 5 (or anytime via My5 streaming). Let’s see what the sea has in store.
