Princess Cruises has revealed that Spellbound by Magic Castle is set to debut aboard the brand-new Star Princess. This speakeasy experience, created in partnership with Hollywood’s legendary The Magic Castle, promises an unforgettable evening of illusion, sleight of hand, and storytelling on the high seas.
Following its debut on Sun Princess, the reimagined venue aboard draws inspiration from the golden age of magic, with a special tribute to one of the art’s most celebrated figures: Richard Valentine Pitchford, better known as Cardini.
Guests entering Spellbound by Magic Castle will journey through a series of themed spaces, each designed to heighten the sense of wonder. From the whimsical ticketing booth and the enigmatic Inner Circle, to the enchanting Cardini Bar, a hidden Backstage area, and the dramatic Peacock Theater, every detail has been crafted to transport visitors into a world of mystery and charm.
The experience also features an exclusive cocktail menu available only at the Cardini Bar, with each handcrafted drink offering a magical twist. Highlights include The Inner Circle – a milk-washed Meili vodka creation with delicate jasmine tea notes – and Cardini, a butter-washed rum Old Fashioned.
To make this extraordinary entertainment more accessible, Spellbound by Magic Castle will be open to all guests aboard Star Princess, with several performances each night. Admission is priced at $45 per person and includes two signature cocktails alongside a magic show. Tickets can be booked in advance via www.princess.com or purchased on board.
Unlike its original incarnation, Spellbound will no longer feature a pre-show dinner service. Guests are encouraged to enjoy their evening meal at least two hours before showtime, ensuring they can fully immerse themselves in the magic without interruption.
