When Celebrity Cruises announced the introduction of their exclusive premium charter flight package Jet Set Sail, we were intrigued to say the least. Could we really holiday like an A-lister before we had even set foot on the ship?
After closer inspection of the Jet Set Sail Lounge, we can safely say that passengers can indeed expect the a-list treatment from the comfort of Stanstead. But surely this kind of modern luxury must come with a hefty price tag right? After all, VIP charters, exclusive departure lounges and airport-to-ship transfers don’t come cheap!
Surprisingly, flying with the Jet Set Sail service from Stanstead Airport costs just £60 more than flying from Heathrow on certain cruises, and that’s before you take into account the savings made on car parking (which is costly at most airports but complimentary at the Stanstead Airport private jet terminal).
Below are some behind the scenes photographs of the modern luxury that Celebrity Cruises’ passengers can expect to enjoy when they start their holiday in style with a Jet Set Sail package.
The Jet Set Sail service takes you from check-in to boarding in 60 minutes and the package includes:
» Complimentary parking at Stanstead Airport private jet terminal
» Access to the departure lounge (including drinks and snacks)
» Luggage allowance of 25kg
» VIP charter flight (Boeing 737 with 130 passenger capacity)
» Return transfers to and from port
» Priority embarkation
