Celebrity Cruises Unveils $250 Million Modernisation of Solstice Series Ships

Celebrity Cruises is set to breathe new life into its iconic Solstice Series ships with an ambitious $250 million modernisation programme, beginning with the revitalisation of Celebrity Solstice in March 2026.

Part of a sweeping fleet-wide transformation, the refurbishment will introduce eight new experiences, including four all-new spaces never before seen at sea. Guests can expect a bold reimagining of both indoor and outdoor venues, from fresh dining concepts and immersive entertainment to expansive stateroom upgrades and redesigned relaxation areas.

What’s New Onboard?
Celebrity Solstice will undergo many extensive enhancements. Highlights include:

  • Fully refurbished staterooms – all 1,479 of them – including new categories for more choice and comfort.
  • Revitalised outdoor areas offering panoramic views and tranquil escapes.
  • Newly imagined venues, such as Café al Bacio, the Martini Bar, Blu (exclusive to AquaClass), and Luminae (exclusive to The Retreat).
  • Modernised fitness facilities and expanded youth programming with an upgraded Camp at Sea.

The revitalised Celebrity Solstice will debut with Asia and Australia sailings in spring 2026, followed by a return to Alaska for the summer season. The Celebrity Cruises ship will also embark on an extraordinary 110-night Grand Voyage from Canada to Southeast Asia in September 2026, visiting over 55 unique ports without repeating a single one.

Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises, noted: “Our Solstice Series ships represent the best of classic cruising, and now we’re elevating this vacation experience even further by adding brand new experiences and enhancements at every turn. Guests will enjoy more ways to explore and restore, all while staying true to what made our guests fall in love with these ships in the first place.”
