Celebrity Line-up Planned for Sky Princess Cruises from Southampton

Princess Cruises has announced a line-up of celebrity speakers and guest entertainers who will feature on Sky Princess over the coming year. Household names from the world of TV, sports and entertainment will be embarking on the 3,660-passenger Sky Princess when she cruises from Southampton throughout 2022.

Among them is Birds of a Father star Linda Robson, who will be speaking on the 14-night Spain, France and Portugal cruise departing 9 April 2022. Meanwhile, guests on board the 14-night Baltic Heritage cruise departing 14 May will be able to see actor Ricky Tomlinson.

To mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, Grant Harrold will be on board. As a former member of the British Royal Household, leading etiquette expert and royal commentator, he will have plenty of tales to tell on the seven-night Scandinavia cruise departing 28 May and seven-night Norwegian Fjords cruise departing 4 June.

Other famous faces due to appear on Sky Princess are chef and TV personality Rustie Lee, former British World and European relay champion Derek Redmond, English cricketer Graham Gooch and TV and radio presenter John Inverdale.

Wildlife TV presenter Patrick Aryee will also be on board on a select sailing, as will presenter Tommy Walsh, British actress Sue Holderness and former SAS operative Colin McClachen. Falklands War veteran Simon Weston is due to appear on the 14-night Land of the Midnight Sun cruise departing 20 August.

In addition, as part of the line’s guest entertainment programme, popstar Gareth Gates will perform on voyages departing 30 April, 9 July, 30 July and 20 August.

Tony Roberts, Vice-President of Princess Cruises in the UK and Europe, said: “Now in its fifth year, our UK-based celebrity speaker programme always receives rave reviews from our guests.

“Having the chance to hear from household names spanning TV, sports and entertainment during your holiday is a unique opportunity not often found at a land-based resort, and further adds to the wide range of entertainment and activities we already have onboard the beautiful Sky Princess.”
