The newest ship to join the Princess Cruises fleet, Enchanted Princess, will be based in Southampton for her maiden summer season. Starting on 4 May 2022, a range of European cruises will be available on the brand-new ship, ranging from four to 14 nights.
A total of 13 new voyages are setting sail from Southampton, including journeys to the Canary Islands, Scandinavia, Iceland and the Mediterranean. Enchanted Princess joined the fleet in November last year and is currently completing her first season in the Caribbean before heading to these shores in April.
The 3,660-guest ship provides a Princess MedallionClass Experience, where guests wear a 10 pence-sized wearable device throughout their cruise. This allows for a truly contactless experience, from locating friends and family anywhere on the ship to opening the door to their staterooms.
Enchanted Princess will be joined by Emerald Princess and Island Princess, which are both due to cruise from Southampton this year.
Tony Roberts, Vice-President of Princess Cruises UK and Europe, said: “Driven by the fantastic response from UK travel agents on having two Royal-class ships sailing out of Southampton in 2021, we have decided to bring Enchanted Princess to Southampton for this year’s UK summer season.
“We’ve been extremely encouraged by demand for Princess Cruises’ 2022 sailings, with UK bookings already exceeding our full year 2019 result. This could not have been achieved without our UK travel agent partners. Having two of our newest ships based in Southampton this summer is testament to their continued support.”
